Good Mascara
I still enjoy this mascara. It's not super dramatic, but it certainly doesn't clump, so I enjoy that about it. While it's a bit on the pricier side for what it does, I do think it's a high quality product.
Fell in love with this mascara, deffinatly worth the money, its lasts, it actually makes your lasheds look longer unlike other compaines who claim that. This is the only mascara that realy does what it say for me!
Love this product! Its the only mascara I use, every single time is a even application, none of my lashes stick together and they always look nice and full. It's a little bit pricey for Mascara but worth every penny!
I received this as a birthday present, and I mention this because I would never buy a mascara for $35! I was flabbergasted when I looked up the price, but didn't have very high expectations toward its performance. I always figured that the vibration factor was just a gimmick. This was my first product from Lancome, and I had no idea as to the kind of quality this brand has to offer. I was surprisingly impressed in trying out the mascara for the first time.
I have the short, straight, barely-there Asian eyelashes and this mascara made them defined and lengthened. It didn't clump nearly as much as the cheaper mascaras I've used in the past. It made a huge difference on my bottom lashes; they actually became visible! I started using the mascara daily, but only on the bottom, and used kohl pencil liner instead of liquid for a soft and pretty look.
I don't activate the vibrations however, as I find them hindersome and creepy, like tickling your eyeball with a feather. =/ Another thing I didn't like was that it made my eyelashes droopy and unable to hold a curl. It's a gripe I have with almost every single mascara I've tried, so I wasn't expecting too much with that.
I ordered an electric heated eyelash curler and I think I'll have much better luck with this mascara once it arrives. I wouldn't recommend this to people who have trouble keeping a curl to their lashes, but only few mascaras will work to solve this problem. For people with already long, naturally curled eyelashes, this product will work beautifully. Then again, drugstore mascaras would probably work just as well. This mascara would only serve as a luxury.
Lovely!
Lancome is not my favorite brand - I often don't like their products and find they have little lasting power. This one was different. I really liked the way it went on - and the vibrations were actually cool - helped separate my lashes. And the look was very pretty and feminine.
I too am a fan of this mascara! I did a review of Lancome's Oscillation and Estee Lauder's on my site when it first came out and also preferred Lancome's. With Lancome's I only need 2 coats for my lashes to stand out. The Estee Lauder version took 4 coats to stand out. The only time my lashes have ever looked this extreme are when I apply fake lashes! From far away or in photos my lashes looked fabulous, but up-close it was just a clumpy mess! To get the clumps out I had to use a razor sharp eyelash brush to comb through it. The oscillating brush definitely makes a difference with lift and coating each lash. However, the tiny rubber-like bristles and oscillation don't seem to do a good job of separating and de-clumping. The whole process is really slow - start at the root and slowly work your way up. I was also told I wouldn't need an eyelash curler but I definitely do. The formula seems so heavy it weighs down my barely-there lashes. I would have given it a higher rating if it weren't for the clumping, but the faux lash effect has got me! If you're going to come out with an innovative mascara with a high price your lashes better look dramatically different!
This is a great mascara. I love how it lengthens and adds volume to my lashes. The effect is incredible with added with Lancome CILS booster ER XL mascara base.
I got the new Lancome Oscillation mascara from The Bay. What makes the Oscillation stand out is its new and interesting concept of battery vibration wand used to comb through the lashes in a back and forth motion. There is a small button at the side of the wand where you hold and feel the wand really vibrate. At first, I was a bit taken back but it seems like a new and innovative way to apply mascara and really lengthen it without any clumpings. While the length of the wand is long, the bristles are quite short which may put some of you in disadvantage. Thicker bristles apple more volume, but the vibration motion is used to create that effect anyway. . I love how it lengthened my lashes fully. I've always liked Lancome mascaras, so this was no surprise to me at how well it works. I still have to get used to the vibration motion. Although it is a great innovation, I am not sure how it will be received. I personally would recommend it to anyone who is willing to splurge on a mascara and to try something new and creative. Lancome mascaras can never go wrong anyway, so its always worth a try!
