I got to try out Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Stick and I really like how lightweight it feels on my skin!
Compared to other stick foundations, I like how easily you can blend this (especially with a damp beauty blender) it gives an even flawless finish that I like and not cakey at all. Right now it stays put and feel comfortable because the weather is more cooler so it doesn't feel like it's sliding off my face or feeling greasy...I don't know how it will feel in the summer though, hopefully it will still feel comfortable.
In regards to pricing, it's a bit too steep. If only Lancôme offered a pro makeup artist discount, then you will see me stocking up a bunch of these in my makeup kit more! :)
But for consumer use, then the price is not bad, since you would have to buy one or two of these sticks, and they should last you for a few months depending on how frequent you use them. I say give it a try!
This is a rich and creamy foundation stick that provides a really good pigmented colour. I received the 460 Suede (w), which is much much darker than my regular foundation, but it's to use as a contour stick. One glide and I get a lot of product on my skin so use it gently because a little goes a long way. It has a matte finish, which is a plus. I only got the product a couple of days ago so I haven't had the chance to try this over a period of time. It's a pricy product at $54 but I can see that it will last a while, especially since I'll only be using it to contour and not as a foundation on my entire face. There's no scent and blends in nicely into the skin with a BeautyBlender. I also set it with a loose powder just to keep it in place and tie my look together.
I was weary about using a foundation stick, they are either too drying or too greasy, but this one was perfect for my combo skin! It was lightweight and didn't settle into my fine lines and at the same time didn't make me oily throughout the day. I loved how build-able it was and how it lasted all day. I also was impressed with the shade selection and how well this matched my olive skin.
It goes on really smooth and didn't feel super heavy. But to pay $53 for concealer I just can't do it. Great product but not for the price unfortunately
I was lucky enough to be picked to review this Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Makeup Stick. I received it three days ago and have used it each day since. I'm super impressed with the weightless feel it has. I can't even tell there's anything on my skin. It is a light coverage foundation but is easily buildable without being at all cakey. I feel it's best suited for normal to oily skin. I have dry skin and really had to use a generous amount of moisturizer to prevent it from clinging to my dry patches, but other than that, I loved it and will definitely be repurchasing. It's often hard to find a foundation that matches my skin tone perfectly but the Bisque (n) 330 was a perfect match. #lancometiustick #gotitforfree

How was your experience with the product based on the on the advertised benefits? (e.g. lightweight powder-creme formula, oil free, transfer and smudge resistant, etc.)
-this product dried to a perfect powder and was easy to apply an appropriate amount. No wasting
How would you compare this product to other foundation sticks that you've tried in the past?
-I havent actually used many in the past but this is by far the best with the silky powdery finish
Would you purchase this product again and/or recommend it to a friend?
-it is more expensive but I know it is now worth it and would definitely consider buying it again. I would also definitely recommend it
I have always been skeptical of stick foundations. I think this stems from my teenage years of using Cover Girl stick foundations that were sooo dry! Let me tell you, I am a new convert!
I received this product as a free trial from Chickadvisor, and I am SO glad I did. The foundation matched my skin perfectly. It was smooth and creamy, and went on like a dream. I drew it on my face just like in the video, and use Morphe 439 to smooth it out over my skin. I blended beautifully, and did not pick up on any dry spots like I thought it might.
I normally spend $52 for my MUF Ultra HD foundation, so spending an extra $1 to buy this Lancome isn't a big deal. I love that it has the most shades at Sephora too, which is where I shop for beauty products. The only test will be to see how long this lasts. I'm not sure it will last as long as my usual liquid.
Oops! The only thing I forgot was that the packging is majorly cheap! It does not feel like a product you spent $53 on at all. Even Cover Girl has better feeling products.
Stick foundation has been very popular recently. Since I have dry skin, I generally use a liquid foundation because it is a little more forgiving on dry spots. When I was given the opportunity to try Lancome Teint Idole Foundation stick, I decided to take it. Thank you chickadvisor! #GotItFree
I like how easy it is to use. Just like a lipstick, you turn the bottom and the product moves up. You don't need to get your hands dirty. And the product does not transfer to the packaging either.
It applies so smooth. Just a few swipes on your face and that's all you need. It says its medium to full coverage, but I find you do need to build it up to get a fuller coverage. I use a beauty blender to blend it out and you get quite a flawless/natural looking coverage.
I will say the lightest shade (110 ivory c) is just a tad too dark for me, but if applied lightly and blended out, it isn't too noticeable.
The biggest issue I had with the stick is that it settles A LOT into dry patches, so if you are experiencing any, be prepared. Even exfoliating and using a heavy moisturizer, I was still able to see some dry patches. But that's just my skin right now as the weather changes. I could see this being great for this summer when I have a little bit of a tan, and my skin is less dry. If you have oily or normal skin, this would apply evenly with no issues.
Overall, I love the ease of application, and how natural itlooks on the skin, but I dislike how it accentuates dry pqtpatches on my skin.
Excellent highlighting stick, my shade was neutral and it was perfect, blends nicely. Excellent coverage and stayed on all dayl I love this product and would recommend to friends and family.
#LancomeTIUstick #gotitforfree This is an amazing product! Love the stick application!! It blends nice, easy to carry in a purse or anything like that because of the compact size. The product itself was an amazing shade, and it lasted all day; even through sweating, it lasted! I liked the idea that it could be used as a foundation, high lighter or bronzer depending on shade. I used this product as a fondation. Will buy again!
