First off, I got this for free thru CA so thank you for that. I've tried a few foundation sticks before but I was actually surprised to find that this was actually creamier than I expected. It went onto my skin easier and did not emphasise any dry spots. The shade I got looked really yellow on me when I first applied it but seemed to match my skin tone. I don't find that my forehead is as oily by the end of the day (~12 hrs) compared to other foundations I've used (stick, liquid, cream etc.) I would say this is a medium coverage foundation but it did fade throughout the day. On Sephora this retails for about $50 CDN. Unfortunately at that price tag I most likely will not be repurchasing it. However, it is a decent foundation ...just not at that price.
I am judging this product by it's texture because I ended up picking the wrong color for foundation. The color doesn't work as highlighter for me either. So because my skin is extremely dry, I used an oil base moisturized then applied the foundation. It was very easy to apply using my fingers gently across my face. The coverage went on evenly and easily, while the foundation texture is light but thick enough to cover imperfections. Even though the foundation/highlighter color wasn't for me, I wore it while at home. It doesn't dry my skin, it gave me that dewy look. Finally, my advice to anyone whose going to buy this product should definitely test it out in person do not buy it online.
I received the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation stick in Ivory. The packaging is super cute, but for the expensive price tag it feels quite cheap compared to other foundation sticks. The formula itself it very smooth and glides on easier when you apply it too the skin. I use a beauty sponge to blend out the foundation all over my skin. The coverage is quite nice, i'd say its a light to medium.
I wouldn't say that it is transfer free or smudge resistant seeing as i ended up with foundation on my scarf while wearing this product.
I also noticed that it did settle into fine lines and accentuated my dry patches. I would recommend this product for something with more of an oily skin type.
This is a rich and creamy foundation stick that provides a really good pigmented colour. I received the 460 Suede (w), which is much much darker than my regular foundation, but it's to use as a contour stick. One glide and I get a lot of product on my skin so use it gently because a little goes a long way. It has a matte finish, which is a plus. I only got the product a couple of days ago so I haven't had the chance to try this over a period of time. It's a pricy product at $54 but I can see that it will last a while, especially since I'll only be using it to contour and not as a foundation on my entire face. There's no scent and blends in nicely into the skin with a BeautyBlender. I also set it with a loose powder just to keep it in place and tie my look together.
It goes on really smooth and didn't feel super heavy. But to pay $53 for concealer I just can't do it. Great product but not for the price unfortunately
