The palette case is a rich brown with black embossing on it and is very tactile as it is cushioned. The magnetic clasp is pretty strong, so won’t fall open unexpectedly. Inside there is a mirror that fills the lid and 12 shadows that look beautiful in their neutral and purple shades. There is no applicator or brush, but that’s fine by me as I always use my own anyway.

There are two rows of 6 shadows of both cool and warm tones, but overall this palette leans towards cool. Each shade has the name right there under the pan which I prefer to having to turn the palette over to see the name, or worse still having to keep the box if this is the only place where they are named. There are 6 matte shades, 2 lustre and 4 sateen.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am that I finally took the plunge and bought this palette. The colours are beautiful, all the shades have great pigmentation, blend well and work great with each other. With the use of primer their staying power is brilliant - 10 hours or more without fading or creasing.
