amazing product. works very well and exfoliatess the skin effecively LEavving a soft, smooth result on any part of your body, was a little pricey for me
Well if this isn't one of the weirdest things I've added to my beauty routine. After years and years of suffering from Keratosis on my legs, I have tried literally everything to combat the excessive dark bumps, ingrown hairs, and eventual scarring that shaving with this condition has caused.
I spend most of my free time searching for a solution/cure to my KP, which I have been told will never go away. When I came across Le edge online, I laughed, what the heck can this scraper do for me? Well, I decided to give it a go anyway, can be worse than the lotions, potions and exfoliants I've tried for years.
It's been about a month since i picked this tool up at Factory Direct for about $9. I spent weeks searching the internet and found online, this tool can average $40. I am convinced, this is wonderful, I've been using it on my entire body and the results are great! my legs are gettign better daily, the dark brown spots everywhere are fading and my ingrowns are dramatically reduced.
Be sure to carefully follow the instructions for this tool, soak as long (min 15 mins) as you can and I apply a very small amount of almond oil to my skin before using this. What is scraped off is rather unpleasant, but also satisfying once you start seeing the results day by day. Mt blackheads on my nose are fewer and my skin is so much softer overall, I love this weird strigil. scraper device!!
Price varies greatly. Found mine for $6 at a factory outlet store but have seen them being sold for around $25 online. For the price I paid, I'm very happy with it.
Body: First I gently scrub my skin with a sugar scrub. After rinsing off the scrub, I drag the blade across my skin to get rid of leftover residue and to get rid of dead skin. Results are definitely more visible in the summer as sweat and dead skin comes off and greyish goo (gross, sorry!) is found under the blade. Great for every part of your body. Also helps raise hairs before shaving when pulled in direction opposite of hair growth.
Face: I have a second one that I use solely on my face. I'm obssessed with cleaning out my pores and this gets the gunk out really well, especially on and around my nose.
*** I do all of this after washing my hair in order to let the water soften my skin for a few minutes. I shave and wash the rest of my body afterwards. Once out of the shower I make sure to moisturize. My skin ends up feeling so soft.
*** Also wanted to note that this is not a sharp blade like a razor. You cannot cut yourself with it.
This product is an exfoliation tool-not really a facial exfoliator but I couldn't decide what category to put it in. Essentially, it's a flat blade with a curved handle that you drag against your skin to 'exfoliate.' Does it work? Well yes....for me, it is especially helpful in removing ingrown hairs. I find that if I use it before shaving, I end up with a closer, smoother shave (yay). As a scrub person, it was a bit difficult to get used to not having the gritty scrub on my legs but I like less mess. I don't use this under my arms but apparently you can use it anywhere on your body!
