Mixed feelings
Love the scent! This is a nice body wash that lathers well and leaves you feeling clean and fresh. Unfortunately, it contains sulfates and is priced higher than many other nice body washes. I'm afraid I can't recommend this product...sorry! #gotitfree
Pleasant scent but I prefer a creamier body wash
After a mix up with Canada Post I finally received my sample bottle of Le Petit Marseillais White Peach & Nectarine Extra Gentle Shower Gel yesterday. I was anxious to try it because it smelled so nice and I was intrigued because it seemed to be a premium brand.
I was very pleased with the scent but I found it took a lot to get it to lather (thin consistency) and my skin felt drier than it normally did after using another, creamier body wash. The name made it sound very luxurious and unique so I was disappointed when the results didn't seem to match the hype.
I would not buy this for myself unless it was priced quite a bit lower than my normal body wash or other similar brands. The scent is delightful so perhaps they could make it more of a cream body wash so you didn't have to use so much making it less cost effective than other alternatives in the same price range.
Oh so sweet and summery
First off I love the smell! I am normally extremely fussy about any scent I put on myself. I don't enjoy the strong smells and I really don't enjoy the lingering smell either. This is a delicious smell! Its the epitome of early summer fresh peaches and white nectarine but not over powering at all.
That said the scent doesn't linger once you "apply" and wash off its pretty much gone. A very faint smell on your skin but not enough that anyone could smell it.
I found it didn't lather or foam much when applied and maybe would have if I used a sponge.
That meant of course that it does wash off and doesn't leave that slightly filmy feel that most body washes do.
I can't say it improved my skin in any way but it did do its job of getting me clean!
Great lightly scented body wash
This isn't a bad body wash, but it's also nothing overly special. It comes in a large container, which is easy to hold and squeeze out. I don't like how cheap the "open/shut flap" feels. I'm a little concern that it I were to drop the bottle a few times it could break off. The soap itself, is a nice gel, not to runny or thick. It lathers really well. The scent is nice and light; this isn't a Body Shop or Bath & Body Works scented body wash, which I appreciate as those can be very overpowering.
Smells like plastic
I enjoy scented body washes, especially fruity ones. I was excited to try this wash. I opened the cap and smelled it and it smelled lovely. It smelled like white peach and nectarine as indicated. When I squeezed it onto my bath puff and lathered it up, I smelled it on the puff and it smelled straight up like plastic to me. It did a good job of lathering and my skin was moisturized after using it, which was good. I just wouldn't buy it again because of the smell. I used it quite a few times and had the same result of plastic artificial smell on the puff. I did think the scent might have been from the puff, but I used another scented body wash and it did not smell of plastic. I do not recommend this product, unless you don't care about scent and just want a good clean.
Have tried better bodywashes
I just tried this product and I have to say, I'm disappointed. The scent is pretty good, I did like it but what really got me down was the lack of lather. I like a bodywash that really lathers up and goes far, I need that to feel like I'm really getting clean and that is not what this one offered. I had to add product to the puff at least 6 times if not more, which means I went through much more of this than I do my regular bodywash. That could get expensive imo. I would not recommend this bodywash for those who really like some suds.
