Description

Lean Cuisine introduces 6 tasty new entrees to its lineup: Fresh Inspirations. Varieties include Thai Chicken, Chicken Teriyaki, Chili Lime Beef, Roast Garlic Chicken, Shrimp Alfredo, and Mediterranean Chicken.

The new Simmer & Steam tray cooks each ingredient the way it is meant to be cooked. Although this is a step up from the traditional Lean Cuisine, I still find that the taste is a bit bland. The chicken pieces left me an aftertaste. Unfortunately I would not recommend this product.

First time trying this and it tasted exactly like soggy warmed up frozen food:( I think that I prefer making something simpler from scratch that will taste a whole lot better. Basically, it just was not my cup of tea!

I recieved a free coupon and picked up the Shrimp Alfredo flavour of this product at Sobey's today. $4.49! Yikes!

First off, the instructions say to NOT pierce the film.. This resulted in one side of the film blowing out, sending a spray of broccoli into my microwave. C'est la vie.

Once cooked, the sauce was quite watery, but the pasta and veggies were fresh tasting and not overcooked. I poured all of the sauce and shrimp onto the veggies and pasta, stirred and tasted. It was pretty bland. I added some light parmesan cheese (in keeping with the "lean" category of this meal) to add a bit of flavour and to thicken up the sauce. Better.

For me, who isn't picky enough to worry too much about being able to "customize" my meal, it's more trouble than it's worth.

I'd prefer pretty much any other frozen entree I've ever tried over this. The price is quite steep for what you get. I doubt I will ever purchase this again, nor will I recommend. Sorry Lean Cuisine...
