I just finished the Mediterranean chicken. It was very good, maybe should have more chicken pieces in it. Good amount of sauce and good tangy spices. Some of the pasta were quite small I mean cut in tiny pieces while others were in long version. All in all it was good but I think I should next time get the one with potatoes and meat.
I received a full value coupon from ChickAdvisor - thank you! I chose the Roast Garlic Chicken. It was really good! Other people in the office were commenting on how good it smelled! The chicken was tender, the sauce was thick and creamy and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. I don't usually like a lot of sauce and only used a little of it until I tasted it - then I added all of the sauce! I found for lunch, it was a perfect amount. The price was $4.99 - a little pricey. I would like to try the Teriyaki Chicken next.
Also, I wanted to mention that the nutritional facts were impressive! Only 190 calories! Yum!
I recieved a free coupon and picked up the Shrimp Alfredo flavour of this product at Sobey's today. $4.49! Yikes!
First off, the instructions say to NOT pierce the film.. This resulted in one side of the film blowing out, sending a spray of broccoli into my microwave. C'est la vie.
Once cooked, the sauce was quite watery, but the pasta and veggies were fresh tasting and not overcooked. I poured all of the sauce and shrimp onto the veggies and pasta, stirred and tasted. It was pretty bland. I added some light parmesan cheese (in keeping with the "lean" category of this meal) to add a bit of flavour and to thicken up the sauce. Better.
For me, who isn't picky enough to worry too much about being able to "customize" my meal, it's more trouble than it's worth.
I'd prefer pretty much any other frozen entree I've ever tried over this. The price is quite steep for what you get. I doubt I will ever purchase this again, nor will I recommend. Sorry Lean Cuisine...
I received this product free to test and chose the Mediterranean Chicken. I enjoyed the taste/flavor, veggies were crisp and had real chicken. I do like that you can control how much sauce you add in. I don't like a lot of sauce on my food most times, so this was a bonus. I would say that these are pretty much the same as similar frozen meals out there, besides the sauce control. I also felt there wasn't much food, not good for someone taking for lunch and not bringing along other snacks, they would be hungry very soon! They are also pricey for the amount of food you get - then again all the similar frozen meals are. I would buy again, but only if I could get it on sale, have a coupon or in a pinch.
Recived a coupon for free lean cusine inspirations from Chick advisor to try one if the varaety they have.
I tried Lean Cusine shrimp and alfredo sause and it tasted good.
When i opened my microwave the film at the top was removed and half of it at the sause. Shrimp was cooced good. And extra veggies in stayed chrispy. However if u need to eat it at wirk i dont think you will get full u will need more. But for a light diner or even a snack i say go for it. I will be trying all flavours for sure.
I received a full-value coupon for Lean Cuisine Fresh Inspirations to do this review.
I choose the Thai Chicken because I love Thai food. The instructions were a little off. The plastic film came off on its own. I really did enjoy this one. I loved all the vegetables which was crisp, and the sauce was great. It had a real . The chicken was real chicken and not the processed kind which is an added bonus.
I was also skeptical about the size of the portion, looked small, but was very filling!
I would recommend this item to my family, coworkers and friends. They were asking what that wonderful smell was.
Its a great value at $3.99 . I would definitely buy again and I'm looking forward to trying others.
Not a big fan of lean cuisine. tried it, didn't like it. Won't buy it again. If you work all day, you deserve to eat better. It takes less than 30 mins to make their dishes from scratch.
