These are a nice colorful set of lights for party use or in the garden, however I wouldn't recommend them as regular string lights around the house for two reasons. When not turned on, they are not as nice looking as the globes are plastic and secondly, they have only a flashing mode and no static mode.

However, they do look great when on, going through a range of twinkling and flashing in a whole rainbow of lovely colors. I think they would benefit greatly from a static mode to increase the ways in which you can use them. Perfect party lights though.

They're powered by plug, so while it means you need to have them near the outlet, the cord is nice and long and this means you don't have to worry about them running out. They also have the plug insert on the end so you can hook them up with multiple sets, which is always a nice feature on lights.
