Pretty fun

Our family had the opportunity to try out the game Less is More for free. It's a pretty fun, simple game to play with kids! We had lots of laughs playing this game! I would recommend this game to families looking for something that can be played quickly.

Neat concept, complicated scoring

This game is fun! It’s a neat concept and definitely requires some creative thinking. Coming up with clues and trying to guess them can be downright tricky! I love the whiteboards - gone are the days of pencils and scrap paper, or so I thought.

The biggest downside of this game is the scoring. I had to read the instructions multiple times and it made my brain hurt. There’s no way we’d be able to score this without a pencil and paper, and that takes away from the game. The QR code should be to a virtual scoreboard instead of a timer! We’ll honestly probably make up a simpler scoring method.

Fun For All

Our family loves board games …and we are Not competitive at all (insert sarcastic laugh). So when @familyrated @spinmastergames sent over “Less is More” to try, our competitiveness did not come out 🤣. The object of the game is to have a player guess the “secret word” by giving them clues with as few letters as possible. Clearly mom and dad were no match for our twins who definitely had their twin connection advantage. They were able to guess the secret word with each other’s clue quick and easily while we struggled. But it was hours of fun and laughs and mom and dad are definitely going to up their gameplay for the rematch!

Fun party game

Spin Master's game "Less is More" is a great party game! We had lots of fun trying to guess the words -- and also trying to come up with clever ways to write clues using as few letters as possible. It's definitely better with a larger group as you get to see many different interpretations of clues, and more usually more laughs!

Brain Work

We were hard at work on a summer Sunday afternoon! This game provided a fun opportunity for us to practice writing and letter work with our boys during the summer. They are competitive and had a ball. Highly recommend this for a family game night!

Great family game

Such a great family game. Me and my grandkids played it yesterday and it was a hit. Easy to play . Sets up In a couple of minutes and spelling doesn't matter ! Great for the kids to practice spelling though.
We will definitely be playing it again.

Family fun

We #gotitfree from #FamilyRatedClub and played this game as a family. It was easy to figure out the rules and everyone had a blast! The QR code for the timer brought me to a site that didn’t work on my iPhone but that made no difference. The kids were asking when we would play again and it’s a sneaky way to make them practice their penmanship so it’s a win for parents too!

Less is more fun

Less is more is a great game! My kids jumped at the opportunity to test out this game. They love thinking of words or a short combination of letters that the other would guess the right word. It’s funny that while playing some of us even wrote the same clue down but with more or less letters then the other. We are all getting better at this game and will be so much fun when we bring it amping with us.

Learning and fun in 1!

This game was so fun! The instructions were straight forward and it was easy to figure out how to get started. It was fun fun right from the first round! I like this game because you have to find creative ways to figure out what the word is without shouting it it's like charades but with words. Some clues can sound really funny, others can be really tricky. This game teaches kids how to sound out words and write them out so they can get a clue to the group. The dry erase part of the game makes it super easy to get to the next round or clue with a simple wipe, the scannable timer via the qr code is a great feature easily accessible every game and one less piece to lose. We love family game night. It helps us connect with our children and have some really good laughs and some fun.

Fun game with challenge

The Less is More game from Spin Master offers a fun game for children and adults. It allows players to be creative and succinct in their responses, which is harder than it seems, especially when on a time limit. A great number of answer cards are included, allowing for hundreds of rounds without repeating.

Recommended age is 8. We played with a younger child (6 1/2) and it was a bit too difficult for her. Saying that, as an adult I also found it challenging - trying to offer a good clue to the secret word in as few letters as possible is difficult.

With 3 players, we played several rounds, and enjoyed the game. We were not always successful in figuring out the secret clue. I think this game would be most fun with a lot of players (6 is the maximum).

The only issue we had was with the white boards. The marker erasers did not clean them very well. We ended up using wipes as well. But, after a few rounds, a hue of black remained and you could even see some of the erased letters. I was able to clean the boards more thoroughly using a household cleaning tool. For this, I have taken off a star.
