Not accurate! Reads 1-2 F high
Compared to 2 other (BD and Roche) oral thermometers and a thermoprobe this thermometer reads 1-1.5 F too high. Other reviews also suggest accuracy issues.
We all seem to have Hypothermia
It gave under-arm temperature readings of 33.8 and before that around 35.1-35.5. Apparently we are suffering of hypothermia. Very inaccurate and could cause harm by giving false readings.
Correction: it was the life brand children's thermometer (frog design).
What a piece of crap. It consistently said I had hypothermia
What a piece of crapola. The highest temperature I could get from it was 35.1C, it stubbornly stayed at that temperature even when I kept it under my armpit for more than 5 minutes.
It's so inaccurate that it could potentially harm you or your child. Do not buy this product, do not trust this product, buy another thermometer.
Another very poor quality LIFE brand product
It does not work!! It does not turn on, and why do I need 150 characters to say that it does not work. Useless. So I need 150 characters to place this review.
Didn’t even turn on!
Bought the life brand flexible tip digital thermometer model 1551 for 24.99 and it was a complete waste of money. The device wouldn’t even turn on. The operating button is very difficult to push. I tried repositioning the battery but that didn’t work. A useless thermometer is the last thing I need when I have a fever.
It didn’t work from the start
It was hard to physically press the white on button because it’s not even a proper button. The thermometer will not turn on. Can’t open battery chamber. Thermometer doesn’t work at all.
