Being a life long brunette, I finally decided to "have more fun" and bleached my hair blonde. I was surprised and confused when the stylist recommended I buy something called Purple Shampoo, but decided to give it a try. This brand is more expensive than most shampoos, but I was very pleased with how it helped me to maintain a nice ashy shade. The purple colour is meant to get rid of copper tones in your hair, so if you are going for strawberry blonde, this is not for you. In terms of dryness, I didn't really notice the shampoo making a difference, but due to bleaching my hair is pretty fried, so it was hard to tell.
