I remember the first time these were in my stocking at christmas! After my first taste i was hooked, now my stepmom to this day (and im 25) spends about 20$ just on Lindt chocolates for me! they are to die for!!!
I am a chocolate snob, and naturally Lindt has long topped my list. I haven't met a flavour I didn't like, though must admit particular love for the milk and dark chocolate varieties. Between Lindt and Ghirardelli, it's pure chocolate heaven!
These make great gifts, especially for teachers or hostesses! That is, if I can bear to part with them in the first place...
I know that most people already know about Lindt chocolate truffles (after all, they come with the Swiss Chalet Festive Special!), but I had to write a quick 'reminder' review on them ever since I tried them in a new recipe this Christmas and was reminded exactly how good they can be! To be specific, I made a new cupcake recipe that called for a Lindt chocolate truffle in the centre of each cupcake - and Oh My Goodness, these chocolates made the cupcakes gourmet! I used the dark chocolate balls since I love dark chocolate myself, but you could use any flavour (even mint or white would be delicious, depending on the flavour of the batter) - I have now gone on a Lindt kick again, and these truffles are to die for!
I've always loved chocolate and thought one was a brand was a good as the next. Boy was I wrong. A couple of years ago someone gave me some Lindt truffles in my Christmas sock and life has never been the same. It has such a smooth velvety texture that melts in your mouth. The flavour is what true chocolate is all about, rich, not too sweet and a longing for more. It's the only chocolate for me.
Lindt Chocolate makes so many scrumptious kinds of chocolate! My favorites are the round truffle balls. They are chocolate outside, with a more creamy chocolate in the center. You can buy them individually for about 35 cents, or get better deals when you buy in bulk. So smooth and delicious, you actually get filled up after just one! Many different flavors are offered, but I prefer the milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
