Really fresh taste

I received this product from Butterly to try and review. I've been using LISTERINE® TOTAL CARE ZERO for a a week now, and it's been a game-changer for my oral hygiene routine. It provides all the benefits of LISTERINE TOTAL CARE® but without the harshness, thanks to its alcohol-free formula and milder taste. I noticed that my gums are healthier. It’s reassuring to know it protects against bad breath bacteria for up to 12 hours and helps keep my teeth white. Overall, it's a comprehensive, gentle solution for a cleaner, healthier mouth.

Freshness without the Burn

I'm not really a fan of mouthwash for a couple of reasons; I don't really like the mint flavour and I hate the overwhelming burn. Because of this, I was interested to see how Listerine Total Care ZERO would measure up.

It still has a minty taste, but it's dialed way down, so although I wouldn't say it tasted great (it's still mint), it was tolerable and not unpleasant (they call it "mild mint" and that's accurate). The burn factor is definitely controlled, this is a major selling point, and I'm guessing this is due to it being alcohol free.
One thing I noticed is that it made my mouth feel a little strange, almost dry and for lack of a better description, vaguely numb for a couple of minutes. It contains essential oils (Eucalyptol being the main one), and I suspect that is what is causing this feeling.

Overall I would and will continue using this, because the lack of burn and overpowering taste outweighs the briefly weird mouth feel and it is proven to handle bad breath, plaque, reduce and prevent gingivitis, and fight tartar.

Minty fresh without the bite of alcohol!

Most mouthwashes that I've tried in the past are either overly minty or have such an overwhelming alcoholic taste that I could probably start a fire if I spat onto a match. Neither of these tastes were appealing to me so I was skeptical that I would enjoy Listerine's Total Care mouthwash. But seeing as it was made with zero alcohol, I was happy to give it a shot.

Admittedly, my husband tried it first. I watched his facial features carefully for any indication that the mouthwash was overtly strong, but I was pleasantly surprised that nothing of the sort happened. Satisfied that he has not immediately spat it out, I tried my luck and took a swig. It was minty fresh, but not offensively so. It still had the bite of the typical mouthwash, but it was much more subdued than any other I had tried before. My mouth was left feeling fresh and ready for the day (or night ) for a couple of hours before the taste completely dissipated.

All in all, this was a great mouthwash and I loved how it didn't contain a lick of alcohol.

Clean and fresh

I like the mouth wash for is zero alcohol feature. It’s clean, fresh, doesn’t zing like its counterpart. I did notice that it froths more and this stays for a while. The other thing I notice was dryness of mouth.

Personal favourite of mine, now alcohol free!

We all hear that alcohol in products is drying, now I can use this without mouth dryness. I’ve been a fan of
Listerine for years, with a previous workplace providing it in the washroom for us to use.

This version is less potent but still gives you the whole mouth freshness. Minty, clean and peace of mind knowing that your mouth is not dry. Easy to pour, swishes well and kills canker sores.

It’s always Listerine

Our household only uses Listerine. It what we have always used. Love the “zero alcohol”. Over time teeth get whited. Cavity protection. Love that it doesn’t have the harsh alcohols taste.

Listerine has always been THE brand to get mouthwash from and they have exceeded standards this time. With no alcohol it makes an excellent choice for those with sensitive gums or anyone who prefers a gentler product. After using this product, I felt refreshed! Listerine® Total Care Zero Alcohol Free Mouthwash has all the benefits of Listerine® Total Care without the burn.

My mouth felt fresh and clean after rinsing with this mouthwash. It tingled enough to let you know it was killing all the germs, but wasn't uncomfortable to swish around in my mouth like the regular version can be. I enjoyed the milder mint flavour as well.

My thoughts:
I really like it! The one part I hated about mouthwash was the stinging/burning sensation and now it's mostly gone! The mouthwash left my mouth feeling fresh and the aftertaste is pleasant! I will definitely be using this mouthwash from now on! 😁
