I got these strips at a travelling sale with many different products for a decent price. I have tried Crest White Strips, Crest Whitening Gel and dentist trays previously, and these Listerine Strips were definitely the worst. They do whiten, although it is not as quickly noticeable as the other products I have mentioned. They are goopy and very hard to apply, touch them accidentally and a goopy string will pull away from your teeth and half of the product will be gone. Also, you are supposed to swallow the product, which is quite a disgusting thought. I kept them on for a few minutes and was disgusting by their clumpy and sticky feeling, it took quite a while to brush all of the junk off my teeth. The only positive about this product was that it did not cause sensitivity to my teeth like other products do. If you're okay with swallowing a mouthful of chemicals, crafty enough to get these strips on your teeth, and you get them at a very reasonable price, give them a go, otherwise... try something else!

I wish I could recommend this product. I was very excited to try it, never having used a whitening product before. The one positive thing I can say is that it does whiten teeth. After several days use, my teeth did look brighter, with the kind of shine they have after a dental cleaning.

Unfortunately that's the only positive thing I can say. The taste is absolutely vile, like swigging a mouthful of chemicals. & it lingers. I had to brush my teeth several times before my mouth felt clean. Given the awful flavour, I have to wonder what kind of ingredients are used to achieve the whitening effect. It also feels sticky when applied, & the strips didn't fit smoothly on my teeth. I don't know how this product compares to whitening strips made by other brands, but I'd recommend against trying the Listerine version.

I wasn't really into these. The fact that they just 'dissolved' is an interesting concept.... but maybe should have stayed a concept.

I tried them before bed and found that while they did in fact dissolve they left the most disgusting goop behind, especially on the back of my teeth. It was terrible and I ended up having to get up and brush my teeth again. I'm not even sure if they worked...

In short, I would not buy these again, nor would I recommend them.

I have never used a whitening kit from a dentist before. In fact, this is my first time using any form of teeth whitening product.

This product can temporarily make your smile brighter. After I had used 2 of the strips (on the top half of my smile) one of my friends had commented that I had really white teeth :)

What I cannot stand is the taste! It's just gross. They do dissolve yes -- but not completely. You will probably need to brush the rest off with your toothbrush. And rinse. Rinse many times. And very well at that!

The idea of swallowing bleach in my stomach does alarm me a little. It can't be too healthy, but nonetheless I try to spit out most of the "bits" in the sink. And don't forget to rinse. Again.

Not sure if I would buy this product again. I might try other whitening products first. Just remember: your teeth are not suppose to be any whiter than the whites of your eyes.. so don't go too crazy on the bleach!

This particular whitening system is the most difficult to use that I have tried. The extremely thin strips became tangled prior to application and stuck to my lips as I tried to place them on my teeth. The taste is awful and takes some time to get used to. Each strip took about 20-25 minutes to dissolve, which is much longer than the box suggests and bits of the product remained between my teeth and required brushing for removal. I did manage to use the whole box (minus the first few that became so tangled during application that they had to be tossed) and saw very little results.

So i'm really torn about this one. I recieved a whole bunch of free samples, so I can't comment on the price. The effectiveness was reasonably good for such a quick dissolving product (about 10 minutes), but of course, it doesn't do as effective a job as Crest White Strips, but comprable nonetheless.

The worst part is the "dissolving" factor. In the instructions it is written that once the strip reacts with your saliva, the bleach oxiginates and becomes safe to swallow. I hate the idea of swallowing bleach period. With regular strips you can manage not to swallow the bleach, but in order for these strips to dissolve properly you will have to. Otherwise you're stuck with a goopy mess stuck to your teeth.

    Altogether...meh.

I should start my comments by pointing out that I've only ever used Crest Whitestrips before trying out the Listerine strips. I've never used dentist-supplied trays. 'K, disclaimer finished.

    What I liked:
-convenience! Wow, so easy to use and you really could leave the house with these on and not worry about finding a trash can later to dispose of used-up strips.
-most attractive option. They appear virtually invisible on your teeth, though as they start to dissolve it kind of looks like you have a little extra saliva on your teeth. They also don't make your shlur your shpeech because the edges are the first place to wear off. Love that!
-the product seems to taste better than Crest. More like toothpaste, less chemical-ish.

    What I didn't like:
-they don't seem to whiten quite as well as the Crest product. I'm guessing it's because the product is literally swallowed away before the full 10-15 minutes of whitening is finished.
-the very idea of swallowing bleach and strip components. Yuck. I know you swallow some bleach with other products too, but the idea here is that you swallow all of it.

I have to give this product a qualified "no", just because it seems less effective and I'm really not comfortable with swallowing all that stuff. However, I can't say it sucked. I'd consider switching from Crest were it not for the dissolving issue.

I got these at a media event and decided to give them a try. I normally bleach my teeth with a kit from the dentist that includes trays that were made to fit my mouth so my teeth are generally pretty white, but when I tried these this weekend it had been awhile since my last bleach. I tend to drink a lot of coffee and I love red wine and dark chocolate so my teeth were definitely in need of a pick me up.

It took a bit for me to figure out how to apply the strips correctly. That's because I initially didn't bother to properly ready the directions - how hard could it be? But there is a right side and a wrong side. It feels a bit weird having these on your teeth but you can definitely talk and it is much less cumbersome than the trays. They do dissolve on their own but I used a toothbrush after to get rid of the excess.

    Pros:
    * Great for an in between whitening for someone who regularly whitens with a dentist kit. I only tried one application and I noticed a difference.

    * Makes your teeth feel really clean like a visit to the dentist

    * Freshens breath

    * They dissolve on their own. You don't have to brush them off, though I prefer to.

    * Inexpensive way to brighten your smile.

    * Experience is more pleasant than traditional bleaching with trays.

    Cons:

    * A bit of soreness in the teeth and gums (to be expected)

    * Covers only about 6 teeth at the front. You won't get the coverage at the back for a fully white smile.

    * Results are not dramatic like you'll get from the dentist. If you are a smoker or have never bleached your teeth you probably won't notice that much of a difference at first, but I'm sure after regular use you would. A kit from the dentist will show bigger results but it is also much more expensive.

Overall, I think they are worth a shot. I will definitely use them between regular bleachings to keep my teeth white.
