This book is adorable and my daughter just loves it. We've read it every night since we've got it and it still keeps my 2 year old's attention. The text flows really well and the pictures are nicely drawn. I would definitely recommend this book.

Llama llama Red Pajama is an excellent going to bed book. It was the first in the Llama Llama series by Anna Dewdney.

It is little Llama's bedtime, but he can't fall asleep. He wants his mama Llama to come back, and puts up a huge fuss (while she is on the phone). She returns to his room and explains that sometimes she is busy, and can't come running, but she is always near by, and he needs to stop his llama drama. Reassured little llama goes to sleep.

I have run into this problem a number of times with my little guy, so this book hit close to home. The illustrations are wonderful (very colorful), and Dex (my 2 year old) loves the rhyming (there is actually a lot that can rhyme with llama). It has become on of our favorite bedtime stories, and easily a favorite series.
