Cast Iron Queen
I try to only use cast iron in my house and am absolutely in love with this pan. It heats through great, is easy to clean and I haven't had to reseason yet after years of use. Only complaint is it is so heavy its hard for me to clean but thats more of a complaint on my strength than the pan. I will continue to use this and will look for a lid.. hopefully there is something out there I can use for one!! I would say I would intend to purchase this again in the future but I don't think I'll need another one for decades to come!
Love my Cast Iron skillets
I love the durability and price on these cast iron skillets. You can always find them on sale and they last forever. These skillets are my go to and have outlasted other pots and pans I have bought over the years.
Essential Kitchen Tool
Like most of us, time is always of the essence and weekly suppers are usually rushed and require planning. There are a number of kitchen tools that are available which can cut down your cooking time and still provide a nice meal. If you are looking for a tool that will crisp, brown, caramelize, bake, and turn simple dinners into gourmet meals, get yourself a Lodge 12" cast iron pan. My parents used them years ago, they knew what they were doing. I have started baking with them also, have made pizza, biscuits, pasta dishes, breads; fabulous results.
Lodge cast iron -- the original (and safer!) non-stick!
Cast iron is amazing cookware! It is good for electric, gas or induction ranges. Cast iron is on the heavier side -- but that, in my mind, is the only downside. If you care for and season your pan properly it is easy to use and non-stick! Cast iron allows you to sear food and start food on the range and seamlessly transfer to the oven. Start making your life easier by looking up one griddle pan recipes -- you won't be disappointed! If you are low on iron then cooking with cast iron will also help you!
