I tried this mascara after reading the reviews on here. The price was cheaper than most mascaras and the quality was fair. I really liked the brush and the formula itself was very smooth! Plus the "Carbon Black" color was exactly was I was looking for. This mascara gave me a little bit of length, thickened my lashes, but didn't give them much curl. (Easily solved but using a lash curler first!) It did clump a little bit as you put on a few coats but nothing serious. Overall this is a great mascara for everyday use and a great price to match!
This is my go-to mascara. It is natural looking, holds a curl, and is clump-free. Plus, it's inexpensive. By far my favourite mascara, and I've tried dozens of different kids. In my opinion, it beats out even the more expensive $25 mascaras.
I purchased this after hearing about it from a friend that always had dramatic, huge, dark lashes. I figured I'd give it a try, and it was relatively cheap (even as drugstore mascaras go), so why not? The first thing I noticed was how inky black the formula was. It didn't have a weird smell or anything, so that was good. It was a very dark black. When I put it on my lashes, WOW! I was amazed. It made my short lashes look full and DARK! It also had some lengthening and defining properties for me. I love this mascara.
PROS:
-very black
-brush easy to work with
-makes lashes look more voluminous
-defines lashes
-makes my lashes look longer
-very buildable
CONS:
-a bit difficult to remove
This is the only mascara I have bought in the last 3 years. I love it. My lashes look thicker and longer with no clumping. I do think there has been a formula change recently because the last 2 I bought does not stay put like it has in the past. After a couple of hours I find that it starts to make it's way down under my eyes. I need to wipe under my eyes to make sure I don't end up looking like a raccoon.
I'm a sucker when it comes to flashy packages and overrated new products. So I always end up with some vibrating rubber brush with a light attached "made with titanium" ridiculous mascara when I go try a new one and I always hate them.
To be safe I went with everyone's favourite "Greatlash" after giving up on trying new ones.
But one day my own ran out so I borrowed my boyfriend's mascara, Simple black package, no glitter or anything in my face, and his is AMAZING. The price was a little steeper than I'm used to, Greatlash can be picked up in my area for $5, and L'Oreal's cost my boyfriend $12. But I love the creaminess of the formula, It is EXTREMELY black, and I can reapply it many times in a day without it getting clumpy. I wear falsies almost every day, and when I want to put mascara around my fake eyelashes I don't have to worry about it becoming a big stuck-together mess anymore. I am very happy with this mascara.
I have full long lashes to begin with, but they are white/blond.
I have tried several other mascara's in a wide range of prices. I found some that are as good as this one, even better - except they flake and give me "fall-out". Voluminous doesn't do that, it stays stuck to my lashes all day.
This mascara is fantastic! With just one sweep, you can achieve a dramatic look. I tend to apply 3 coats, which gives me extra long lashes, super volume and a little bit of 'clump' which I like. This has been a staple in my make-up collection for years. I highly recommend it!
I have been using this mascara for years. Every time I try something else, I always return to Voluminous. This product does what it says and makes my lashes look amazingly full. The thick brush allows you to get at every lash. I have recommended this mascara to friends for years, and will continue to do so.
I've used this product twice now and have been very disappointed. I usually love Loreal products, but in this case, it just doesn't live up to their normal quality. Here's what I've found:
I have fairly thick eyelashes, thought I like them to appear fuller and longer. This mascara accomplished that but only with a lot of work. It's thick and tends to be a bit lumpy coming out of the tube. The wand has a great shape to it, but the mascara is so thick, it globs up on parts of the the wand. Also, because it's so thick, it tends to make my eyelashes stick together - with only one coat. I have to use an eyelash comb to separate them AFTER I've used the mascara. I use a lash curler and comb before I apply my mascara and have never had to comb them again after I applied it. Hope this helps someone make a decision.
