This was the first brand of hair dye that I have used. It worked really well with my then virgin hair. The color turned out nicely. I tried using this product again and I find that it does not work as well with pre-dyed hair. The color did not turn out that great...It actually looked the same as before. I don't know if it was because the dye I had before was too strong or whatever, but it just didn't really work the second time. I do recommend this hair dye for first time hair dye users.

I love the different tones and sheen in Feria and I love the blondes. I have a hard time getting it to cover gray though which means I have to colour more often. But I'm hooked on the shades so I persevere!

This review is for one of the shades of red for feria hair dye. I've dyed my hair before with other products but with this one the color is perfect for like a week. Then, it fades. So when you or if you choose a hair color with this brand choose a darker shade so when it fades, its the color you want.

Usually when I buy this product I use the "Starry Night" but I believe they may have changed the name to "Midnight Black". It is a black colour which has a tint of dark royal blue in it that shows up really well in the sun and bright lights. I would recommend this product as it is pretty cheap and is easy to use. The quality of it is good because your hair feels very silky smooth afterwards, but i would rate it's effectiveness 7/10. The reason being, if you already have dark hair then it will turn out great and last for 6-8 weeks. But, if you have lighter or blonde hair then it will fade within 2-4 weeks and it will turn out looking grey. As I dye my hair on a regular basis, I have also used different tones from this collection. Word to the wise, if you have light hair-stick with light colours and try not to dye your hair any shade too dark...as the colour will fade out pretty quickly. If you are just going to be using this product to spruce up your current colour or give it a boost then have at it, because the results will look very nice and your hair will feel and smell great!

I'm reviewing the L'Oreal Paris Tortoiseshell Brown Collection. I just colored my hair with T42 Smokey Tortoise Deep Beige Brown. This was a really easy hair color to apply to my short hair. I was really nervous at first but the instructions are so easy to follow and you can't do it wrong. After mixing, applying, waiting 25 minutes, rinsing and blow drying I can say I'm totally satisfied. My hair doesn't quite look like the picture on the box, but apparently that is to be expected. They say if you have red undertones, any hair color will bring those out a bit. I have natural red highlights in my hair so this color brought them out a bit. That's ok though....I went from a light blah brown to a rich brown with subtle red natural looking highlights. This hair color is not a thick flat color if you know what I mean. It looks so natural and shiny, it's amazing. I will definitely use Feria again, I may be bold and go a shade darker next time! I am recommending anyone who is thinking on trying to color their own hair to give Feria a try. There is a nice selection of colors to choose from. Try looking on the L'Oreal website. As a side note, I did call their 1-888 number to talk to one of their people, but she wasn't very helpful. I got more info from their website and the cosmetician at Shoppers Drug Mart. *Feria is not for gray hair.

I've always loved Feria hair color. I got my hair professionally done 2 weeks ago and lets just say the ends ended up GREEN. I tried washing my hair everyday after that trying to get the green out but it just staying. I had enough so I bought Feria's Amber Tortoise and it came out great!! It got rid of the green on my ends and made my overall hair color and nice light amber brown.

This isn't the second time a hairstylist has gone wrong with my hair but I've always turned to Feria to get my hair outta the gutter!!

    Another happy Feria customer~
