I received this product from the Product Review Club and have to say that I was really disappointed with it. I don't like the packaging as it feels/looks cheap and is quite cumbersome to use. There are two separate tubes of product (one on each side). The first tube you apply around the edges of your lips to moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and the other you apply directly on the lips which is supposed to provide some sort of 'plumping action'.
I found that neither tube really worked. The tube that contained the cream for moisturizing the skin around the lips had a small, narrow opening which makes it difficult to apply and provide maximum coverage for moisturizing. The tube that contained the cream for plumping the lips had a better applicator which was wider and angled making it easy to apply on the lips. However, I didn't feel that it provided any plumping to my lips. Usually I can fill some sort of tingling with glosses that provide plumping action but felt nothing with this product.
Also, both creams are white and opaque which can make it a little messy and difficult to apply. You have to make sure that the cream is well incorporated into your lips otherwise you can see the product which can be quite embarrassing. It would have been much better if the product was clear/transparent.
I would not recommend this product because the packaging looks cheap, it’s not easy to use and it doesn’t seem to work.
Thanks so much Chick Advisor for the lip plumper as part of the Product Review Club. I was so excited when I got the products in the mail.
I tried it over the X-mas holidays - morning and night as instructed; however, I didn't see or feel much of a difference or change. The product claims to decrease the amount of fine lines around the lips and plump lips but it unfortunately did neither for me. I was kinda bummed because I thought I would notice a bit of the difference but I didn't :(
The good news: it really moisturized my lips! My lips get very dry and can crack easily in the winter and this product helped with that.
My report from my friends and family who also tried it vary. Most said it did not do what it claimed, while one said she really liked it because she saw a change in the lines around her mouth. She even said she would buy it after this!
So all in all a good lip moisturizer but not a good lip plumper and fine line decreaser.
Hope this helps! Thanks again!
Sadly my review isn't going to be any different than many of the others on this product. I was super excited to receive this product from chickadvisor as it is really pricey in stores but I definitely wanted to give it a try! I didn't have any positive results. When applied it feels kind of wet and there is a few seconds of the plumping tingling sensation but no visual results! It briefly helped my chapped lips but there are cheaper products that do that! I gave one to my mom and she said it didn't do anything for the lines around her lips and she didn't like the feeling of it at all.
Overall not a recommendation of mine.
This product essentially does nothing. Sure, being 20 I don't have a ton of fine lines anyway, so I'm not the best judge of the around-the-mouth part. The on-the-lips half definitely did not decrease the creases in my lips and they aren't any "plumper". I noticed it claims to help with lipstick feathering so I tried it as a primer for my Super brightest red gooeyest lipgloss, and at the two hour mark it's feathering exactly as if I hadn't primed at all. If you want plump lips, buy a lip venom, they actually work. If you want your lipstick not to feather, there are a TON of primers out there that aren't $20. This is pretty much a $20 mouth moisturizer. But again, maybe if you have a lot of fine lines you would notice some assistance from this, it's hard to say at this point in my life.
I received this from the product review club, it WAS nice of them to give a ton of extra full size samples.
I wasnt very thrilled with this product. It was just mediocre, and when I used it and asked my friends if they saw any difference they all said no. It has a nice gloss look, but for a lip plumper I would use a different kind. not worth the money i think
Thank you again, to the Product Review Club!
I regret to report that I was disappointed with L'Oreal Paris Collagen Filler! It makes a great lip moisturizer, and if that was what it claimed to do be, then I would be happy with the product and happy to give it a raving review, except for the fact that it costs a lot of money for a lip moisturizer!
However, the product claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and plump lips! I can't comment, with any evidence, that is does not reduce the appearance of fine lines, as I didn't have any to begin with. I can cross my fingers that it has been preventing them for the past two weeks, but I wouldn't bet on it.
As for the plumping claim; I wasn't expecting Angelina Jolie lips, but I was hoping for at least a little tingle to let me know it was trying to plump my pucker!!
Overall, a high priced lip moisturizer. Nothing more.
I also recv'd this as a freebie from ChickAdvisor. Did not notice any reaction (good or bad) to the plumping of my lips. Although I am in my 40's, I do not have any lip lines (as of yet), so I could not say if the anti feathering cream would improve that problem.
This product is not worth the time/bother/cost in my opinion.
I am happy it was a freebie because cost-wise this product is not worth it. At least for me I did not see any noticeable results. I don't have lines around my lips but figured I could use it as prevention. I like that the product does not have any scent. The consistency of the cream and serum is okay as well but as far as doing anything for me. Nada. I didn't even find the moisturizing of the lips worked well as I found I still had to use blistex shortly after to keep my lips moist. I didn't notice any plumping of my lips and as I have full lips, other products I have used do a much better job of plumping.
Overall I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for something that will make a difference for you and of course the price point is a bit too expensive.
Not to put down anything that Chick Advisor sends out for free, but I feel the need to be honest.
Before using the product, I used a lot of Chapstick to help heal them (they were dry and cracked because of the winter weather) the week before. I figure this way, with smoother lips already, I'd get better results with this collagen filler.
What a disappointment. Nothing happened that was worthwhile. I studied my lips before and after and noticed no change. How did it make my lips look? The same as always. I guess it's better putting this on your lips as a moisturizer, as opposed to nothing, but nonetheless I was disappointed. I also hate that there are two steps (purple and white side). I wasn't a fan of adding an extra step to my mascara routine (the ones with the clear serum before putting on the actual mascara) and I'm not a fan of this.
I would not recommend this, nor will I be buying it in the future.
I was a product tester too & to be honest, I didn't really experience any improvement in my lips, whether with lines or plumpness.
I don't wear lipstick or lipgloss, just lip balm, so adding these extra steps was really not part of a normal routine nor would it be worth the trade off for the additional effort.
My lips are not thin so I don't really need the plumping action. And I'm confused about what the anti-feathering cream is supposed to do. At first I thought it meant feathering (flaking) of chapped lips. But I guess they mean flaking off of lipstick.
A good thing about the product is that it does not smell. The anti-feathering product is creamy and would be best applied with a finger. The plumper is more gel-like & can be applied directly on the lip with the contoured tip applicator.
