Well once again I'd like to thank the product review club for sending me this item. I was extremely excited to try it! But unfortunately, like the other reviews on it so far I wasn't that impressed and neither was my mother who is in her 60's and has very small lips. It didn't plump up our lips nor did it do anything in regards to the feathering of lipstick around the lips. We were disappointed. The only positive remarks I can make about the product are as follows: Cool tube & easy to use. Has no smell which is a bonus for anyone with allergies like myself. The cream applied around the lips was light, non-sticky and fast absorbing and the cream that went on the lips was a good moisturizer to use under lipstick, especially since the cold weather causes chapping. But thats it. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
I recieved this to review and I must say i was a little dissapointed i did'nt think it really plumped the lips and as far as the around the lip part i think it covered some of the wrinkles so when you put makeup on it looks smooth but as soon as you drink something the effect is gone, I liked the fact that there is no perfumey smell and i do like the packageing.
I have always been loyal to L'Oreal for their ever amazing Voluminous Mascara. So naturally, I was eager to try this product when it was offered through the product review club. I have been wearing the product now for 2 weeks and to be completely honest, I don't see or feel the difference except for maybe dryer than normal lips. This is not a bad product but I would say it was not for me or my skin type. Then again I would assume I would have to use the product longer to see any results so thats what I will do. If the results change I will definitely post another review :)
The packaging is fancy and the name is good so I don't doubt that women would buy this product based solely on that and their testimonies about how much this product works.
I tried this as part of the product review club as well. I used the anti-feathering cream each time but as i don't have any lines around my lips yet, I didn't really need it. I found the cream for the lips to be very moisturizing. I've used products with Hylauronic Acid before and its one of my favourite ingredients in a moisturizer. One great thing was that there wasn't the normal burning sensation that you get in a lip plumper. Unfortunately I didn't really notice much plumping action.
For the price tag and the results i can't say that i would buy this product. It might be more suited for women over 40 with heavier lines around their lips.
I received this product through the chickadvisors product review club and have been using it regularly. I don't yet have fine lines around my lips and I don't regularly wear lipstick so although I did try the cream the benefits of step 1 are sort of lost on me and because I didn't really have an issue, I didn't use it too much.
the plumper side was much better - I didn't notice a huge plumping difference but it was very moisturizing and not sticky - I really liked it.
at this price point, I wouldn't buy this again b/c half of the product isn't useful for me but if maybelline sold this as two seperate products I'd probably buy step 2!
thanks for the chance to try it:)
I had the chance to review this product but in retrospect perhaps I wasn't the right audience for it. Luckily I don't have lines around my lips yet so I'd be curious to try this when nature starts playing her cruel tricks. I did find it to be a good moisturizer however, it had a nice thick feel to it and kept my lips feeling soft.
I'd definitely recommend people try this product based on some of the other reviews. Sorry-wish I had more constructive feedback to offer!
I received this product last week from the Product Review Club
The formula is thick and oily like butter when you first apply it, but it soon absorbs to feel light and moisturizing. I like how its not greasy and I do notice that it decreases the appearance of lines.
I generally choose lip gloss over lipstick because I have dry lips which makes the lines very visible.
but I'm getting annoyed at how gloss attracts my hair.
Hence, to be able to wear lipstick without drying up my lips = a very happy girl!
and this new l'oreal product did the job!
The lip filler did a good job as a base layer by keeping my lips moisturized and decreasing the appearance of lines.
the only downside of this product is the price :(
I'll definitely be sad when this product run out, but the price will definitely prevent me from buying it.
I received this product from the product review club and have been using it for 2 weeks, applying it in the morning and before bed. The packaging is great and was small enough not to take up much room in my makeup bag while traveling during the holidays.
The anti-feathering cream was a good primer for my makeup around my lips but did not smooth any of the tiny creases around my lips. I would not recommend the anti-feathering cream as an effective product for softening wrinkles around the lip area. The plumping serum was really moisturizing and healed a bad case of chapped lips within two days of using it. I thought that it did after continued use make my lips subtly plumper without any of the burning or irritation I usually experience from regular plumping lip glosses. The serum also worked well as a lip primer. After checking out the price of this product at the drugstore I would not recommend purchasing it unless you really want to try the plumping serum. If the plumping serum was sold separately on its own, I would use it on a regular basis.
I got two boxes of this plumper from Chick Advisor/L'Oreal (thank you!), and since I had never used a plumper before, I was psyched to try it out. I have been using it for almost two weeks, and I have to say that I'm not too clear on what the point of this product is.
The good news is that it moisturizes my lips, and works as a nice primer. It might (MIGHT!) also have a slight plumping effect.
The bad news is that for half to one-quarter of the price of this product I can get a moisturizing lip balm that works better. Also, after trying this, I went out and splurged on a LipFusion lip-plumping gloss, which was amazingly more effective than L'Oreal's product.
Verdict: I'm going to keep using this until it runs out, just to see if long-term use actually does improve the look and shape of my lips. However, I wouldn't buy it again. It's too expensive for too little an effect. I'd rather spend less for moisture, or more for EFFECTIVE lip-plumping action.
I received this product from the Product Review Club. They also sent some to share with friends.. So thank you!
I have been using the product for about a week and a half and overal was not really impressed with it. It just did not live up to all its hype. I do not have many wringles around my lip area yet, but was interested in seeing how it would work to plump my lips as i have alot of creases in my lips. It did work a little for this purpose however it was only slightly. I noticed that you really only see much of a difference if used twice a day.. and for an extended period of time. The product claims to instantly show results, and i did not find this claim to be accurate.
One pro to this product is that it is a good moisturizer, but no better than any other chapstick or lipgloss out there. So for the price i would not recommend it solely for this purpose, stick to cheaper options that
will give you the same result.
I also like the design of this product. The two sided design was great. It doesnt take up much room in a make up bag or purse if you were to carry it around. For this i think it was a great design choice.
Overal this product is an expensive lip moisturizer that unfortunetly doesnt really live up to its claim. I am glad i received this product from the review club as i would have been very dissapointed if i had of paid $20 and not received what i was paying for.
