It's ok
I received this makeup remover for free from L'Oreal, i believe. I don't think it's the best makeup remover but it's not terrible. It takes off most of my makeup, but not all. Scrubbing your face with face wash afterwards is necessary to remove the rest.
I have used L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover on and off ever since I began using make-up! You can find the product at pharmacies (e.g., Shopper's Drug Mart is where I purchase it for between $8-10).
I use it with a cotton swab and dab the make-up remover over my eyes. I do find that it removes most of my make-up, although it does leave my eyelids a bit greasy.
The reason I have used this product on and off is that I find cleansing wipes more convenient and easier to use! The oil-free cleansing wipes are also less oily/greasy.
This was the first eye makeup remover I ever tried. I have been using it ever since. The product works like magic. A dab of the remover is all I need to remove tough makeup! It even leaves my skin feeling smooth! Perfect, eh?
There are two things about this product that I absolutely love, #1, it doesn't smell like makeup remover, and #2, it's oil free. A little while before I bought this product I bought another L'Oreal Paris makeup remover which works amazingly (keep an eye out for my review on that one) but made my skin a little oily, since it is an oil based product. I use it for more heavy duty makeup now. However, when I just have on a simple eye, like what I wear for class or just out, like normal, I use this one.
The liquid is clear, but it comes in a little blue bottle, with a white lid. I was having trouble finding a picture of it, so I'll list here what it says on the front and back of the bottle.
Front:
L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
Oil Free
With Pro-vitamin B5
Back:
Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, enriched with pro-vitamin B5, is exceptionally gentle and perfectly removes eye makeup without risk of irritation. Apply in delicate strokes with cotton pad. Tested under ophthalmological control.
After that it has a list of ingredients but it's really small. This product is by no means perfect, but it's worth using, and worth the few dollars it costs. It's not useful for makeup which is specifically designed to be long wear or waterproof, but it is /really/ gentle on the eyes. I got it in my eye once and freaked out, thinking it would really hurt, it wasn't too bad, I just blinked a lot and rinsed my eye out and I was fine.
