I found these duo shadows pretty average. They were not nearly as pigmented as I hoped.
The colors were quite unrealistic for daily use. Not worth the money to me.
This is really an OK eye shadow duo. Not the best but it works well. I thought it was really over priced for what it is. Just an average eye shadow duo. L'oreal usually has great eye shadows but this one was alright!
I have the eyeshadow in Showy. I like the rich pigmentation of the bright blue colour, and how it goes smoothly on the eyelids. However, the dark navy blue is patchy and not as workable (powdery). I'd typically use the dark blue eyeshadow as an eyeliner. On the bottom of the product, there is another lid that opens up to a space where there's the applicator. If you are looking for a few bright colours for a cheaper price, then these eyeshadows do the job. However, I think if you are looking for more bright colours, it might be best to get some in a palette form (e.g. Sleek, bh cosmetics).
Granted it's been a few years since I tried this, I think I bought it when it was first introduced, and perhaps it's better now but at the time of introduction the colour was no intense, it was hard to get on the brush and was not easy to blend. I tossed it.
I love these colours but I really could not get any pigment payoff. Felt a bit chalky too. I have seen better.
I got these 4 loreal hip duos as a gift from a friend. I have Showy, Flare, Reckless, and Riotous. As you can tell some of the darker colors are not pigmented unless you work with them. For example, the dark blue and dark purple. The packaging is also HORRIBLE! It is so bulky. There is a top part (for eye shadow) and a bottom part (for a brush). It is such a waste of space and I have yet to depot them into a Z-Palette. Overall, I like them because I got them as a gift from a friend. But I wouldn't buy it if I run out.
I bought a couple of these in the metallic duos. While most of them in these two duos ARE pigmented, they are far from 'metallic', with the exception of one color. The shades I bought were Gilded 806 and Gunmetal 306.
In the Gilded duo, there is a gold shadow and a black shadow with gold/bronze flecks in it. The gold shadow is *very* metallic with a great metal-like sheen - which is exactly what I expected - but the black, sadly, is far from it. It's just black with gold sparkles. Bleh....
In the Gunmetal duo, there is a green shadow with green flecks in it, and a grey shadow with tiny tiny silvery flecks in it. Neither is metallic at all. The grey shadow is a pearl type, with a slight dusty sheen, but no metallic shine at all. Boring. It's also not very pigmented. The green is very pigmented, but again, not at all metallic. Just some green sparkles going on. Nothing spectacular. Bleh again.....
The packaging is great, especially for the price. The top is clear, allowing you to quickly see which shade you're grabbing, and the bottom has a flip-open lid which holds a good quality mirror and a sponge applicator. They both open very easily and feel quite sturdy. Unfortunately, I'd have to rate the quality of the packaging as higher than the actual product itself.
As these were NOT what they advertised to be, I cannot give these products a high rating. I was really disapointed in them, as pigmented as they are. Because of that, I have rarely used them and feel I wasted my money, even though they are not that highly priced.
