This is what I've been using for a while, and really like it. No complaints, and I would really recommend it to anyone!
I have this as a friend gave it to me in a gift basket of beauty. I wanted to buy more and am having trouble finding it in the stores. I want more colors as it is long lasting and doesnt crease
I have two of these eyeshadow duo's: "Flare" and "Flamboyant" (I believe). Flare is gorgeous. It consists of a shimmery champage beige colour and a beautiful shimmery muted orange colour. This combo, with the champagne colour on my inner lid area and orange towards the outside, looks divine on my brown eyes. The quality is excellent for a drugstore brand since as the name suggests, these eyeshadows are really pigmented. However, they're not as long-lasting as I would like them to be but this can be adjusted with a good eye primer. Flare is a good dupe for a Nars eyeshadow duo named "Mediterannee" (not sure about the spelling). As for the Flamboyant duo, there is a bright shimmery yellow and a matte purple. I love this combo as well and this one also looks stunning on the eyes. The purple is a bit chalky, probably because it's a matte shade, and more time and more effort are required to use this shade. Overall, HIP eyeshadow duo's are a great investmest!
I really like this eyeshadow duo. I chose “Gilded” which is a combo of a shimmery gold colour and a dark plum (the girl at Pharma Plus reccommended it to me saying that it is one of the most popular). I really like it! The two colours work really well together.
The shimmery gold is a good base and highlighter; my only complaint is that it doesn’t stick around for the entire day. The dark plum is gorgeous and works well for a smokey eye look, or even with a little water, applied with an angle brush as an eyeliner. The darker colour is heavily pigmented and has better staying power. It is matte, and you don’t have to apply a lot to achieve this look. My only complaint about the darker colour is that it creases towards the end of the day, but I think a good quality eye shadow primer would fix this. I do agree with some of the others that the packaging is a little cumbersome and difficult to open, but I can get over this for a good-quality drug store brand eyeshadow.
Overall a great product, and I can’t wait to try out more of their colour combos!
H.I.P eye shadows are amazing they come in a whole bunch of different colors and their very good for
beginners I myself a beginner with eye shadow went with this product and liked it alot. The thing that i like about these eye shadows is that they come in fabuolus colors. Their actually very inexpensive and
its worth the price.
I agree with the other reviewers and think these eye shadows are definitely higher quality than many drug store brands. The colours are very pigmented and last very long. I think the darker shade in the duo does have a bit of a "chalky-er" feel to it and you have to really work the brush into it to get more colour.
Colours are pretty; definitely ones you would find at MAC. Although you get 2 colours, I don't always like the colour combinations offered. And I do find the packaging to be a little bulky; even though it comes with a tiny mirror.
Good quality for the money; and I will definitely check back drug stores from time to time to see if they come up with any new colours!
I have used the darkblue/turquoise shimmer duo and the purple/yellow-gold duo. Both are very nice, I could afford them, and they work well. The pigments are indeed bright and intense and I love using them to create my multi-color eye looks. The only thing I can say I have a problem with is that the non-shimmer or usually the darker shade of the two tends to be harder to apply in that it doesn't really like to show up unless you work a it and apply several times to the area. Either way it seems to work very well and I love the bright shades and you can even mix and match with other shades that you already own. I've actually been looking at purchasing other color variations from HIP as well.
I have this in Gilded, Spirited, and Gunmetal. My favorite is Gilded. It has a beautiful gold and this shimmery brown/black color. I think that this retails about 8 dollars in CVS, but when it is BOGO, then the price is worth it. These shadows are very pigmented for a drugstore. Definately the best drugstore eyeshadow there.
These are the best eye shadows you can get at the drugstore in my opinion. They have a great shade range, and are highly pigmented. Even better when you can get them BOGOF! My favorites are the new mettalic shades, the silver & gold are incredible. The showy duo teal side is just like MAC parrot eyeshadow, and Sassy has a great satin taupe dupe. Really love these!
i have the pink/brown combo and I really like it. The colour goes on easily, without having to really layer it on and I like that it has it's own little mirror. The applicator is crumby, but a brush works wonders.
