Perfect for my oily skin!

So I randomly brought this when it was on offer to try, not expecting it to be so good! You only need one squirt of it and it goes far, lasts for most of the day without my skin getting as oily as it usually does.

The best facial moisturizer I've ever used!

I purchased this product at Winners at a third of the price you see at Shoppers Drug Mart (which is why I rated the value so worth it). But even at the higher value, I'd likely still purchase this product again and again.
I have very oily skin, large pores, and blemish prone skin. My face has a history of not absorbing cream lotions, so when I saw this gel version on the shelf I thought I'd give it a go -- and I'm so glad I did! This product doesn't break me out which is the biggest plus side for me. I don't see anything super mattifying, but it is the summertime right now and I'm perpetually oily. I love how quickly this absorbs into my skin, it doesn't leave a film or a feeling of heaviness. It feels very cooling on my skin, leaving a fresh sensation. Overall, it adequately hydrates my oily skin without breaking me out or causing redness. This product contains hyaluronic acid and aloe, which means it's gentle for my occasionally sensitive skin. The packaging is a weighty glass bottle, which makes it feel so lux and high end. It does have a scent to it -- I don't find it overwhelming, and my mother who is sensitive to scented products can use it without issue. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone and everyone with oily skin -- definitely a holy grail product! It does layer well under foundation, but if you have large pores you'll still need to use a pore filling primer.

great moisturizer

i have the oiliest skin ever, but this moisturizer does the best job at moisturizing my skin without making my skin feeling even more oily. it's very light on the skin and doesn't leave any weird residue. i love this and i've repurchased this twice already!

That sample was not enough

The first thing I have to note is how absolutely amazing this product smells, you guys, it's perfection. It comes out as a gel-type liquid and spreads like water. My face felt so moisturized, and I loved that my skin didn't become oily.

Where has this been all my life?

This product has changed my skincare routine. I have large pores and oily skin leading to acne-blemish. A lot of moisturizers are not too kind and give me whiteheads, if not taken care of, blackheads. Hydra genius, I love it! So much product for a great price. And it works AMAZING! I love how it just absorbs and doesn't sit on my skin. It says 2 weeks of continuous usage shows long lasting effects. It truly does. I do not wear a primer anymore and since my skin is properly moisturized and balanced, no more zits! So no more primer or a lot of makeup. After many many years I was able to walk out with any makeup on and feel confident. Smells great, keeps skin hydrated and fresh. Put away all my high end moisturizers and never using any other moisturizer again.

Light but Effective

I was surprised by how much the hydra genius liquid penetrated by skin and moisturized considering it's a clear gel. I have used many different types of traditional white moisturizer and it often just rubs right off of my skin, but this gel absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling very soft. You also don't need to use a large amount for your entire face which means a 90mL bottle would last a long time. I see on the sample card that it was inspired by Korean skincare and that makes a lot of sense because the Korean beauty bloggers I've seen have such flawless skin. I would recommend this and I am definitely considering purchasing it. My concern right now is to use products with high SPFs and this doesn't have any, but it works very well so I'll have to combine the two products to keep my skin safe over the summer.

Best moisturizer I've ever tried!

I got a sample in the mail and used it for the first time today - and will be quickly going to a store to make a purchase! It glides on so smoothly, It feels a bit grainy so it feels nice rubbing it in, but it's quickly absorbed and it leaves absolutely NO grease! My face just looks and feels so soft. And the smell is great also.

Love the HydraGenius!

I got a sample in the mail, enough for two separate applications.
The texture/consistency is light, it penetrates fast, you can apply makeup right away over it. The smell is pleasant, and fresh, like aloe vera. It does mattify slightly, which is great for combination skin for myself. This is a great product for easy and fast application.

Fabulous hydration!

I received a 1.5 ml sample of L'Oreal Hydra Genius (Normal to Oily Skin-Mattifying) in the mail. I wish I had more! There are other options including Glowing, for Normal to Dry Skin, and Comforting for Extra Dry Skin.

It is light and clear, and applies easily. It absorbs quickly. It left my face feeling soft. The scent is pleasant! I would love to have a bottle of this to apply daily. I think it would make a big difference in my skin!
