I own two of these shadows: amber rush and perpetual purple. I love amber rush, perpetual purple was not as good as amber rush it lacked the shimmer and depth. These do last a long time, they claim to be 24 hr wear and I got 12 hr before I washed my face. I found they apply best with a damp eye shadow applicator. I would purchase one again if they came out with some new colors or I ran out.
These are brilliant! The colour pay off is amazing. I won the entire set of colours and have used them all. They blend well, layer well and when you use them wet, they just pop! Definitely one of the best eye shadows on the market!
All I can say is WOW! I have never had such a vibrant eyeshadow like this before. I tried some on my hands while browsing through Shoppers Drug Mart and absolutely loved the colours and the subtle shimmers. I bought it and it is now my go-to eyeshadow. I find that it goes on so nicely. You can even use your finger to apply it and it will look beautiful! No crease marks with this either which is a major selling point to me! I love this stuff.
This was one of my prizes for the eyeliner Review of the Week and I can't thank ChickAdvisor enoughhh! It's a great product in a cool shade, perfect for experimenting with.
The shade is (013) BURNING BLACK, a really dark, hot glittery red with black powder. (The glitter is fine textured as well, which is a plus for me.) It's perfect for lining my eyes or adding a bit of 'colour', and I'm working on trying a smokey look too but I need some better makeup tools.
The quality of this shadow is worth the price in my opinion. It goes on well for something so full of glitter, (I haven't noticed a bunch of glitter all over my nose/cheeks after putting this on my eyes which is usually the case). The powder stays put throughout the day too - it doesn't smudge or wear off like some shadows.
The other thing I really liked about this product is the little 'conserver' thing inside! It holds the powder in place when you're not using it, so it won't get knocked around inside the jar and spill everywhere (it always happens to me eventually, with powder makeup).
I would recommend this product for sure, and can't wait to check out the other shades available too.
I bought this eyeshadow in Eternal black. I was not disappointed! The eyeshadow is very pigmented,it just feels and looks rich. It has lasting power and did not crease when I wore it. It's so luxe and so sparkly , I'm always on the lookout for really good black eyeshadow and this one surpassed my expectations.
I'm really not one to spend 10$ on an eyeshadow, i bought mine for 30% off, which for me was still a bit high, but it's so worth the money. They have a good variety of colors, and i would buy them if I wore more colored eyeshadow. A lot of great shades especially for all those Christmas and New Years parties.
I love it and most definitely recommend it!
This is, by far, one of the most amazing line of shadows I have tried in a very long time. The colors are incredibly vibrant, beautiful, long wearing, jewel-toned, soft, mega-pigmented, and soo soooo beautiful. I will probably end up buying them in nearly every color. A little goes a long way, for sure. They are not a traditional hard pressed shadow, yet not a loose shadow either. They have a very different texture, which is a very good thing. Kinda like a creamy powder, yet not. Honestly, I far prefer these over my MAC & NARS shadows, or any other of the hundreds of shadows I own.
If you haven't tried these, get yourself over to Walmart and test these out at the display. That's where I have seen them for the cheapest prices. You will be amazed with their pigmentation and vibrant colors. Cannot say anything negative about these at all. Get them!
I received this shadow at Toronto Fashion Week where the L'Oreal team was using it on models. I've mostly used 014 Eternal Black and it is a great smudgey sparkly midnight black, perfect if you like an imperfect smokey eye. I put mine in my purse and if I end up going somewhere after work I can apply it pretty easily with my finger (no need to carry a brush).
02 Hourglass Beige is perfect for highlighting the corner of your eyes and making them pop! I dab it on with my finger as well, as I've found that if you have any sort of colour on your brush the moist nature of this shadow will suck it up and deposit it along with.
As far as longevity, my lids don't hold shadow that long, but I find even if it slips a bit, the colour is still really nice and doesn't look messy or run.
I received this eye colour free for review, I've been using it for the past week and I'm on the fence about it.
The things I love:
The colours are great! I saw the whole collection and there are some pretty vibrant and deep colours that would be fantastic for going out. I tried a light champagne colour and I was happy with how well the colour in the palette matched the result on my eyelids.
How thick the shadow is. At first I wasn't sure how to apply the shadow because I couldn't use my normal lid brush. It turns out that because the shadow is so dense you have to use a more course brush (like a crease brush) and then the shadow will apply much easier (but beware - it goes on thick)
How well it stayed. There was no smudging or creasing from this shadow and it was still there at the end of the day. I was very pleased with this!
Stuff I didn't love:
The colour got on my lashes and they were champagne colour along with my lids for the day. Because the shadow is supposed to stick it's hard to get it off your lashes or cover it up.
It's thick. This means you have to really like the colour and be ready to wear it proudly for the day, even the lightest shade that I tried made a bold statement.
My verdict:
I will continue to use the shade that I got (it works so well as a base shadow, so you can apply a darker shade over it and that shade will stay for the day - AWESOME). I would also like to try another shade from this line, like a green or a purple because I think these colours look fantastic and they are the perfect colours to make a bold statement.
