I thought that this product worked well in terms of covered my hard to cover greys. The smell of the product was not too strong and it was easy to apply. I recommend this product.

The product was easy and quick to use. It covered grey very well. I would still use the product for the convenience of it. I have damaged hair so it is much better for me to just do my roots rather than my whole head as it is my ends that are more damaged. With this product I do not have to worry about additional damage. I really like the ease of the product and would recommend it

The L'Oreal product exceeded my expectations, as well as my mom's. The product worked perfectly on my mom's short black hair; it left her hair soft and shiny. The applicator brush makes it quick and easy to apply the product to her hair. Within 10 minutes her grays were evenly and naturally concealed. There was no staining to the scalp and the color blends perfectly with the color she normally uses. She'll definitely recommend L'Oreal Root Rescue and use it again between her colorings.

I was so happy to get picked to test try L'oreal's root rescue hair dye but I must say that I am more than disapointed with the results it provided. First off let me specify that I did indeed choose the right color for my root rescue trial even to the point that in the back of th box it indicated that this was well indeed the colour to use for my regular dye. My hair is dark brown and after applying root rescue to my hair it came out light golden brown, I do not have to tell you that is quite a contrast and I looked horrible to the point that I was asked more than once what happened to my hair. I was forceably obligated to re-dye my hair immediately the next day because I refused to go out looking like a freak. I truly had high hopes for this product despite the fact that buying such a product is more expensive, for less than buying my regular hair dye but could be helpfull if your in a jam. I am more than disapointed with this product in fact I am quite furious about what it did to my hair, all that being said perhaps I was just unlucky , either way I cannot in all good concious give this product a good review nor can I recommend it to anyone , especially after what people saw it did to my hair. L'Oreal Root Rescue = 2 big thumbs down ( I would say more but I only have 2 thumbs )

I was very pleased with the effectiveness of this product! I have short hair and was able to use the hair colour on a little bit more than just my roots and the colour match was amazing! My hair looked healthy and shiny and no one could tell that I had just touched up my roots, they thought I had dyed my entire head. Compared to other hair colouring home kits, this products applicator was better than anything I have used. I also liked the fact that the box came with plastic eye glass protectors...even though I don't wear eye glasses lol I will definitely tell my friends about this product! Thanks, Paje Pokjowy

So I got dark brown to use on my roots unfortunately it didn't turn out a dark brown at all! I now have medium reddish brown roots which don't match my hair colour. As well there was not enough product to even use for my entire head. So to do a full job I would have to purchase two! For the price of one I might as well purchase the full size product and save myself this mess. The only positive thing I have to say about this product was the applicator. I found it easy to use and convenient. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing i have to say.

According to my regular hair dye color, I had chosen medium blonde for the color to match my hair color. There are good things about this product: it is easy to mix and apply. The comb type applicator makes it very easy to apply product to hair roots. Another thing I liked was that it only takes 10 minutes to color roots. The downside is that the medium blonde color root rescue did not match my medium blonde hair dye color. My other problem was that the bottle did not provide enough product for my very thick hair. My resulting root color after application was a reddish color. I have not tried other root dye kits so I have nothing to compare it too. I would try this product again for its ease of useand quick processing time, but I would try the light blonde color instead to see if it would match my hair better.

The product mixed easily and well and the application tube with comb were very good but there wasn't quite enough to get all the grey hair around the temples and roots. I left it on for 15 minutes to get full coverage for all the grey hair, but it wasn't enough to cover some stubborn greys. This might be also because I ran out of the product. The colour was great. It matched my hair perfectly. There was no deep conditioner included, but I used one because it was necessary. I hope that the fact that there isn't one will help to keep the price lower. I might not buy this but i would recommend it to friends with less grey hair to cover at the temples and roots.

I was a little worried about trying this product because I wasn't sure that the colour in the box would match my colour...but let me tell you...it matched perfectly...my roots just disappeared as if I went to the salon...I still can't believe it only took 10 minutes to do....this is a way better option to going to the salon every few weeks...my hair felt as if I had gone to the salon...nice and silky smooth... I have never used a product like this so it was a great experience for me...and I will definitely purchase it so that I can prolong my salon visits...I will definitely recommend this to my friends...

I was very surprised at how well L'Oreal's Root Rescue worked on the gray hairs around my temples and across my forehead. The timing was great, it really did work as quick as advertised! I have never used a root colouring kit before. The applicator helped to get the colour where I wanted it. The whole process from start to finish was very easy and didn't take much time at all. The only thing I didn't like was the scent. I would recommend this product to my friends, we're at an age where we're not quite ready to be gray yet! I would buy this product again. I was very pleased with the outcome. I have used another L'Oreal product: L'Oreal Couleur Experte Express Two-In-One Multi-Tonal Color System. I'm so pleased with the experte express product that that's what helped me make the decision to try Root Rescue. Cheryl Steffler
