Product worked great. I was concerned whether or not that it would blend in with my hair colour as I use a different brand and it did. Instructions were easy to follow, quick application and my greys were covered. Only negative is that the die was sometimes clogging up coming out of the applicator. I would defintely try it again!
Finally, a product so easy to use that does exactly what it claims to do. My grays usually start to grow in every couple weeks & I usually just end up dying my whole head rather than just touching up the roots which is why this product is perfect for me & everyone else who suffers from gray hair! I love that the colour can be match to many other drug store brands as well as salon brands which is very important to me. I always have my hair professionally dyed and this product matched my colour blended in with my hair colour. It was quick & easy to apply & looked great afterwards. I will definitely buy this again & recommend this to anyone - especially my mom! LOL
I tried the product today and it's working great! it feels really natural and the color is really good. I like the fact that it doesn't make a big mess when you put the color on. i would definitely recommend it to others.
this product worked as well or better than stated. it was easy to use and covered my grey quickly and easily. I would reccommend this to all my friends who colour their hair!
It cover up my grays pretty good. Their applicator made it so easy to apply without messing up my hand. I experienced a little irritation but thats to be expected beacuase i have sensitive skin. Overall a good product.
I was really looking forward to reviewing this. My grey hairs were becoming more noticeable along my part, and I could see some grey hairs along the sides of my face when I put my hair in a ponytail. I have dark brown hair, which means grey hairs STAND OUT. The packaging is fairly straight forward, however, I would have liked to have seen brief directions printed on the outside of the box - just so I had an idea of what was to come. Mixing the product is easy, and there is no real strong smell of ammonia like there is with some hair colour products. This looked promising. Applying the product was a bit tricky. I was trying to keep the colour right at my roots, so that my uber trendy ombre colour wasn't affected. Also, it's easy when you first start to apply it, but when you try to move your part around to get the rest of your roots, it becomes a big mess. I ended up squeezing the product onto the crown of my head and rubbing it into my roots with my fingers to ensure it applied evenly. I was pleased there was just enough product, I hate wasting product when I do a full head home colour (when my hair was short.) I left it on for the suggested 15 minutes as the box suggested: "for stubborn greys". My scalp tingled and burned a little. Rinsing out wasn't a problem, but I was still concerned the colour would run into the lighter parts of my ombre colour. I went to bed and reserved judgement until I had spent a day with my new roots. Here I am. I think the Dark Brown actually lightened my roots! My virgin root hair growth is now an auburn-brown-redish shade, noticeable in daylight. I can still see some "stubborn greys", but now they're joined by this auburn colouring. Also, it's taken the shine away from the crown of my head, my root area looks ashen almost. Overall 4/10 - easy to apply and use, but the colour is NOT dark brown, and it does not 100% cover the greys. I really had high hopes for this and wanted it to be the HG of home hair colour. Unfortunately not for me. I've made an appointment to see my hair stylist in 2 weeks - we have to wait for this current Root Rescue colour to wash out a little.
I was so excited when i received my Loreal Paris Root Rescue the other day. It arrived just in time, cause my hair was in desperate need of repair. 1: How was your overall experience with using this product (gray coverage, ease of use, colour matching, length of time needed, how your hair looks/feels after application, etc.)? The coverage for "my" stubborn grays, was amazing. My hair normally takes longer to process, and this one worked rather quickly. My hair feels silky again(other products tend to dry my hair). 2: How does this product compare to other home hair colours (including root-targeted products) you've used in the past (if applicable)? I have tried other brands, but they don't cover "all" the greys. Loreal's covered like 99%, really!! 3: Would you buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend? I would absolutely buy it again, and I have already bought one for my sister to try cause I was so pleased with it.
I tried the root rescue this morning and it was easy to use. I love the applicator design. I had just enough product to cover all my roots, so if you have lots of hair, probably you should buy 2 boxes. The medium brown turned my roots reddish brown, and not really match my hair color. I think the price is too high, for this money you can buy full box of your regular hair color. I have some gray hair and product covers it perfectly. Previously I have tried Clairol Root Touch-up and I was very pleased with the result and with the price. I would not recommend Loreal Root Rescue,
I normally like L'oreal products, their Preference hair colour is one of my favorites, Root Rescue, however, is one of the worst products I have used in the 10 years of me dying my hair. I have dark blonde/lightest ash brown hair and am starting to see the first sighns of gray. I applied the mixture as directed and checked it after 10 minutes, my roots were bright orange, not to mention that the rest of my previously dyed hair turn nearly black. I now have to go to a salon after shampooing with dish soap to lighten the darkened hair. Oh and did i mention it didn't cover my gray? Absolutely horrible.
Well, When I received the Root Recue I was definitely in need of rescuing as my little grey friends were showing. My first impression is that I loved the applicator. Application was easy and I find that even thought I had to reapply it twice, with the same bottle (My hair is very stubborn) the results came out great with little to no mess. I did have a friend assist me. When I say that I reapplied it twice, this is something I do with others but it is only do to the texture of my hair and the fact that it could be stubborn. I did not find it runny as I find other products and that was very nice on the clean up side. The smell was not to strong either which was a plus (I am a stickler when it comes to scents). My over all experience was quite positive. Nice applicator, Easy application, Not to strong a scent and most of all nicely covered my up and coming greys.
