I did like the new product. It was a nice shade and had great coverage. I will not let my roots grow as long next time but overall I was quite happy with this product. I highly recommend it.
Great product and I used it and it covered my roots effectively and would recommend this to anyone that wants a root touchup
My overall experience with Root Rescue was fantastic. It covered the gray very well, without having to use a whole hair dye. It was very easy and simple to use. The hair after application felt smooth and was a good colour, which matched my natural hair colour. I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to family and friends!!
This covered my greyish roots completely, and left no telltale marks (no drips, matched my hair colour), as well as leaving my hair in really great condition. I've tried the other brand of root touch-up and was quite dissappointed, but Root Rescue definately lives up to its name. I will definately be buying Root Rescue to use again. Thank you Chick Advisor for the opportunity to test this fantastic product
I really liked the applicator, made it easy to get to the fine hairs along my hairline that seem to get missed. I wish I could use the hair colour more than once though as I didn't need all the colour to touch up my roots, would be nice if it came in a tube that could be stored.
I got the L'oreal Root Rescue in colour 3, soft black. My hair is naturally pretty dark, but I still colour it to be a little darker and more vibrant than my natural colour. I usually go to the salon twice a year, and in between use an at home no-ammonia hair colour to hold me over until my next salon visit. This kit has an awesome brush applicator that really does make it simple and easy to use. You might need to blend in the colour with your fingers, but the applicator makes it so much easier, distributes colour more evenly, and you can use it to brush the dye through your hair so it doesn't just coat the top. It's also a lot less messy! I really like that it only takes 10 minutes because it's quick and easy. The one thing I wish this product had though was no ammonia. Yes, it is LOW ammonia, but when I am only dying a section of my hair I`d prefer to use no ammonia-since it is only a temporary fix anyways until my next salon visit, and using permenant colour on sections of your hair at home can really end up messing it up for the colourist later on. I realize it has to have some in it though so that it can cover greys and lighthen/darken enough for people going a little more out of their natural shade range than I do, but I am really picky about what I use on my hair as it`s very fine and fragile and therefor prone to breakage. I recieved this for the product review club and therefor did not pay, but I checked the price online. I think it should be a little bit cheaper since it is only a small amount compared to a regular box of dye, and it doesn't come with any conditioner, but still not a terrible price overall. One of my favourite things about colouring my hair at home is the conditioner they give you, and you don't get any with this. Overall, the colour turned out really nice and natural and did blend nicely with my hair. It was quick and easy and a good choice for those who need to touch up their roots more often than I do (people with more noticable re-growth probably need to do this at least 2-3 times more often than I do) and don't want to spend the time/money on extra salon visits or 35 minute messy at home sessions.Good product by a great company, I love L'oreal!
This product worked very well!!!! I cannot lie though...without being offered to try the product, there is no way I would have spent the money on it. Just seems like it's too good to be true! I was shocked though..worked fast...matched perfectly!!! I'm just praying it doesn't wash out different then my other dye!!!
Thanks for letting me try this product. I actually loved the simplicity of it and how quick and easy it was to use. I had dyed my hair using the new Foam Haircolor from Clairol #6R Light Auburn about 4.5 weeks ago. My Root Rescue was also #6R Light Auburn so I had a match in colors according to the boxes. My roots were also clearly visible and about 18mm out. Application was very quick and easy. I have 2 small children so I need every moment I can get. I followed the directions and applied to my hair leaving on for about 12min from beginning of application process to preparing for washout. I love the fact that it had a built in conditioner and saved me the extra step. After drying and styling my hair I inspected my roots to see if there was any change. Although from a distance and at a glance, it looks perfect, if you look close at it, you can notice the slight change in colors. Considering the fact that it took about 10min to do and I didn't have to color my whole head, I consider this to be a great product. It was only noticeable if it was looked for and honestly who's going to inspect your hair that close to see if it was dyed. Not bad considering the dye was Clairol Foam and the Root Rescue is L'Oreal Paris, two different brand names.
I really liked this one. Quick and easy application, and didn't hate the smell, like I usually do with hair colours. I was surprised to find that the colour matched exactly, and I was really happy about it because it means that from now on I know that I can just JUST do touch ups and not have to go all over the rest of my hair (causing damage) to get a colour match - I'll buy this again and again. I've already recommended it to my best friends.
