I found that the spray didn't work very effectively even after multiple shots. And it got all over my fingers. My husband went to hug me and it rubbed off on him too. Good concept, but doesn't cover gray and rubs off everywhere.
Medium Golden Brown turned my roots orange, and they are still growing out . . . this product was a complete disaster for me. Nice 'n Easy Root Touch Up kit works way better, and matches my hair color. This stuff was easy to use, smelled good and I loved the applicator, but I wish I had read some reviews before I tried it myself because I wouldn't have used it.
I was looking forward to reviewing this product. I had such high hopes as the L'Oreal brand has never failed me yet. But I have to say, it turned out to be quite a disappointment. First, the packaging of the product made it difficult to use. The slim bottle kept wanting to tip over. And because of the packaging, it was difficult to mix the hair dye. I did however like the idea of the comb even though it ended up being more of nuisance than a help. Second, the product itself was runny and a little hard to use even with the comb topper. Third, the hair colour did not match. I selected the dark brown and it came out an orange tinge which i did not want and did not like. Overall, I really wanted to like the product as it looked so easy to use. In reality, it was quite difficult to use due to the bottle and the runny product. All of that would have been okay if it had matched my hair colour. I will have to redye my hair at this point. Unfortunately, I will not be repurchasing and will not be recommending this product.
I was very excited to be chosen to do this review since I had colored my hair recently with Perfect 10. I usually try to see the positive in the products I test, but I was quite disappointed in this product. L'oreal's Root Rescue claimed many things that I do not believe it lived up to. Firstly, my color did not match at all. I chose 'Dark Brown' (4) which turned out quite redish. Secondly, it claimed 100% grey coverage, but it didn't cover any of mine (I'm about 5% grey). The quick precision applicator was somewhat difficult to use. The one that came with Perfect 10 was much easier. This applicator was soft and bristle like, which made it very hard to part the hair, while the one from Perfect 10 was firm, making it easier to part the hair. Lastly, there was not enough die in the package to do all my roots, however I do have thick hair. I would need 2 bottles next time. Over all, I was quite disappointed in the product, and would not try it again.
I was so happy to get picked to test try L'oreal's root rescue hair dye but I must say that I am more than disapointed with the results it provided. First off let me specify that I did indeed choose the right color for my root rescue trial even to the point that in the back of th box it indicated that this was well indeed the colour to use for my regular dye. My hair is dark brown and after applying root rescue to my hair it came out light golden brown, I do not have to tell you that is quite a contrast and I looked horrible to the point that I was asked more than once what happened to my hair. I was forceably obligated to re-dye my hair immediately the next day because I refused to go out looking like a freak. I truly had high hopes for this product despite the fact that buying such a product is more expensive, for less than buying my regular hair dye but could be helpfull if your in a jam. I am more than disapointed with this product in fact I am quite furious about what it did to my hair, all that being said perhaps I was just unlucky , either way I cannot in all good concious give this product a good review nor can I recommend it to anyone , especially after what people saw it did to my hair. L'Oreal Root Rescue = 2 big thumbs down ( I would say more but I only have 2 thumbs )
So I got dark brown to use on my roots unfortunately it didn't turn out a dark brown at all! I now have medium reddish brown roots which don't match my hair colour. As well there was not enough product to even use for my entire head. So to do a full job I would have to purchase two! For the price of one I might as well purchase the full size product and save myself this mess. The only positive thing I have to say about this product was the applicator. I found it easy to use and convenient. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing i have to say.
Did not cover greys as well as other similar products on the market. Not enough product in the package to cover entire roots.
I tried the root rescue this morning and it was easy to use. I love the applicator design. I had just enough product to cover all my roots, so if you have lots of hair, probably you should buy 2 boxes. The medium brown turned my roots reddish brown, and not really match my hair color. I think the price is too high, for this money you can buy full box of your regular hair color. I have some gray hair and product covers it perfectly. Previously I have tried Clairol Root Touch-up and I was very pleased with the result and with the price. I would not recommend Loreal Root Rescue,
I have never used box colour before and decided to try this product on the lower scalp area just inc ase my hair turned orange or something. But within a minute of applying it to my scalp it started burning so i washed it out out of fear. I must have had an allergic reaction to teh product so i wouldnt recommend it to anyone who has very sensitive skin and gets their hair done professionally.
