Thanks for letting me try this product. I actually loved the simplicity of it and how quick and easy it was to use. I had dyed my hair using the new Foam Haircolor from Clairol #6R Light Auburn about 4.5 weeks ago. My Root Rescue was also #6R Light Auburn so I had a match in colors according to the boxes. My roots were also clearly visible and about 18mm out. Application was very quick and easy. I have 2 small children so I need every moment I can get. I followed the directions and applied to my hair leaving on for about 12min from beginning of application process to preparing for washout. I love the fact that it had a built in conditioner and saved me the extra step. After drying and styling my hair I inspected my roots to see if there was any change. Although from a distance and at a glance, it looks perfect, if you look close at it, you can notice the slight change in colors. Considering the fact that it took about 10min to do and I didn't have to color my whole head, I consider this to be a great product. It was only noticeable if it was looked for and honestly who's going to inspect your hair that close to see if it was dyed. Not bad considering the dye was Clairol Foam and the Root Rescue is L'Oreal Paris, two different brand names.
I really liked this one. Quick and easy application, and didn't hate the smell, like I usually do with hair colours. I was surprised to find that the colour matched exactly, and I was really happy about it because it means that from now on I know that I can just JUST do touch ups and not have to go all over the rest of my hair (causing damage) to get a colour match - I'll buy this again and again. I've already recommended it to my best friends.
Though skeptical at first, I was actually impressed with the colour matching of Root Rescue. My hair colour is a bright, medium coppery salon red, and another brand's root touch up in light auburn made my roots dark and brown. Root Rescue by L'Oreal Paris matches much more closely to the colour on the box - it actually comes out a light-ish auburn, and blends in a lot better with my hair colour. Grey coverage isn't bad - it's not 100% for me, but this product is definitely a more than satisfactory way of dealing with unsightly roots in between those wonderful but all too expensive salon visits. I will definitely buy this product when my roots reappear. Thank you!
I usually love L'oreal and as much as i hate putting a product down, i feel that i have to always stay honest in the products i test. I used the root rescue and i didnt see much improvement in anything..sadly but true. I even noticed that it didnt even cover some of my gray ..totally dissapointed..having gray hair, 1 or 100 is just terrible for me. On the up side, it was very easy to apply, the instruction were easy as 1-2-3. Love that it didnt take me 15 minutes to figure out how to blend and apply. thank-you for reading my feedback. My best regards
At that price, I'll buy a regular box. I prefer refreshing my color and taking care of my gray hairs if I'm going to pay that price. While it did do a good job, the previous reasons are my main ones.
I found L'Oreal's Root Rescue a great product. It matched my hair color seamlessly and was easy to use. I don't care for the gloves they provide as they don't fit my hands very well and I didn't like that you had to pour one liquid from a bottle into a second bottle, but they do provide instructions for more stability so that you don't pour dye all over your bathroom. I was very pleased with the shine and silkiness of my hair, and the gray coverage was enough to get me through until I next color.
I usually don't use root dyes, but I was open to the idea of trying it out. I used the shade medium brown and found that it work okay to cover my roots and grays, but it didn't cover as well as I had hoped. My natural hair is more than two shades different from my dyed colour so it wasn't a perfect match, but it blended together well and left me with a pretty good looking ombre effect. I loved how easy and fast the product was to use/apply. The little comb tip on the bottle worked great to get the dye on fast and where I wanted it. The formula was thin enough to apply easily but thick enough that it didn't run or make a mess.
This product was easy to use to touch up the few grays I'm starting to get. It was nice to be able to do a touch up without dying all my hair. It is a good product to use in between dying my hair for a quick fix without damaging my hair by dying it excessively. My hair looked and felt great after I was done. The colour blended into my current colour.
