I love so many L'Oreal products but this one is a head-scratcher. I suppose the idea is that makeup novices can attempt a finished shadow look without the effort but I did not find this to be the case. The large brush is sloppy and isn't going to work for everyone's eyelids. Good luck getting an even (and appealing looking) application!
I tried it and the results weren't pretty. I spent more time wiping shadow from places it shouldn't be and reapplying to places the large curved applicator couldn't reach, such as the inner eyelid. This one's a flop.
I received L'Oréal® Paris The One Sweep™ Eye Shadow (for blue eyes) in the mail. I was very excited to us it.
At first glance, the eye shadow applicator looked somewhat daunting. It is much larger than your average shadow applicator. It's pretty easy to get the hang of. You just swipe straight across the shadow then straight across your eye with the darker shade nearest your lashes.
It doesn't come through very well in pictures but the eye shadow has a nice shimmer to it.
I like the way the eyeshadow shimmers without being too overbearing. I don't want to look like I'm Sarah Sparkles on my way to a rave. This is much more subtle.
I think L'Oréal® has a great product here. It's super simple which is great for days that I have hardly any time to apply makeup... oh, wait, that's most of them. ;)
I bought this product basically because I am always up for something new and interesting. The applicator really caught my attention and the shadows looked attractive.
I am pretty silly and I wouldn't suggest wasting your money on it.
It didn't go on very nicely, as the shadow isn't exactly top notch, it has no staying power. The unique applicator doesn't really work for real live people. My eyes aren't flat like paper, so I don't even know why I thought this would work.
You have to be precise and take your time with the first few applications (which defeats the whole purpose behind the idea) in order to make sure it is an even application for both eyes on both sides of the applicator. Unfortunately, the applicator itself didn't seem appreciative of the eye shadow either.
It is a nice idea, I was sucked in by the concept of ease and I was disappointed. In reality, it is faster to do several sweeps and looks ten times better using the other shadows in my collection.
