This Repair Masque is amazing it made my fine hair super soft, silky and it had great movement with out being weighed down. Also improved the shine on my blonde hair which can tend to look matte.
I would recommend this to anyone who has thirsty hair. It will quench its thirst and give you some great hair. The only down side is you pay a bit more for this then I think most would expect to pay.
First off, a big thank you to the great folks at the ChickAdvisor product review club for sending me this as part of a L'oreal Professionnel duo! It was the perfect cure for my winter-dry, split ends! I must admit, of the shampoo and conditioning masque set I received, I definitively loved the masque more! I haven't tried many deep conditioning treatments, but of the ones I have, the L'oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque definitively stood out.
Packaged in a medium sized, rounded tub, I loved how this allowed me to get every last bit of the product as opposed to being in a pump format. On the pricey side at $30 a pop, this isn't a conditioner you want to waste. I also really enjoyed the clean, fresh scent the masque had. It wasn't overpowering at all, just pleasant and light, suitable for both male and female users.
After washing my hair and towel drying, I applied the masque to the lower half of my hair, and left it on for about 5 minutes before rinsing well. Right away I could tell that my hair felt instantly smoother and de-frizzed. After blow-drying, it seemed that I had noticeably lessened the amount of split ends that had plagued my hair before. Throughout the day, I just couldn't stop running my hands through my hair, marveling at the smoothness.
In conclusion, those hunting for a nice deep conditioner need to look no further! While this is a bit more expensive compared to the average drugstore deal, the results are well worth it!

Thanks to the Review Club for sending this my way!
I unfortunately haven't used this as much as I would have liked before I added my review. The reason being that to use it is kinda a pain: You have to towel dry your hair, apply to hair for a couple of minutes, then rinse out. I know this doesn't seem like a big task but who has time for this in the morning?Unlike the shampoo I can't use it in the shower so I've been using my regular conditioner. BUT, it is a repair masque so really I shouldn't be using it that often right?
When I did use it, I liked the results. My hair felt crazy soft, I didn't have any tangles in my hair the next morning (and I have hair that tangles easily) and it was frizz free! I noticed that my hair looked healthier after styling and I liked that I didn't have to use much of it so when I buy it in the future I know I'll get my money's worth. Would recommend to others.
Thanks again!
I was chosen to review this product by the product review club. I loved how it made my hair feel! The first time I used it, my hair felt incredible. I couldn't believe how silky it felt as I was rinsing my hair in the shower. The only thing I can complain about is that it is in a little "pot". I am not a huge fan of having to scoop out the product with my fingers (maybe a pump would be better). I haven't used a deep conditioning treatment in a very long time but I am so happy to have this now. I will definitely purchase this product after I have finished it.
I was chosen to try the l'oreal professional intense repair masque. I loved the scent. I also think that it did help repair my hair. However I prob would not buy this product, because I found it a bit of a pain that I had to towel dry my hair first after I washed it, rub the stuff in my hair, wait 2-3 min and then rinse it out really well. but I thank you for the opportunity to be chosen to try it. thank you
Awesome product! Leaves my hair smooth and shinny! Doesn't weight it down.
I use it right after shampooing my hair. Leave it on for 3-5 minute and let it work its magic! The longer the better!
This smells just like the shampoo ( a more plastic banana scent) though, but the scent doesn't stay in your hair that much so it's fine if you don't like it. I think this masque actually works pretty good, the ends of my hair are pretty dry and this helped a lot, maybe TOO much... my hair was very soft after using this, but i think this masque was way to heavy for my hair. it made my hair really flat and weighed it down. When my hair is flat, its not pretty at all! I could run my fingers through my hair and it feels really smooth and silky, but that's probably the only thing i like about this. Though I do think it's a good product maybe for someone with hair that doesnt go flat easily. I have to say, again the price of this is so not worth it, this again is probably worth $10 and below. I would recommend this if you want to splurge, but there are other products that's better than this. Honestly i would not buy this again for myself, simply because it didn't work out that well for me and the price of it. My mom tried it and it worked out for her ( she has thick dry hair)
I am very impressed with this product. I found the 'candy banana' like fragrance very nice and the consistancy is so thick and creamy you dont need to use alot. I wouldnt usually pay this much for a masque but as it proved its great quality I would recommend it! Even if it was a once a week treat and not used regularly.
I didnt follow the 'apply to towel dried hair' direction as I never do before any hair treatment, and that's just a hassle! After washing my hair, I squeezed out the excess water, applied and left it on aprox 10 minutes while I did my regular shower routine. As it had quite a slick feel on my hair, I was sure to rinse well. I usually apply a smoothing cream and air dry my hair but skipped the cream and viola - found it less poofy and no tangles! It worked equally well both with the matching L'Oreal shampoo or my regular shampoo. I can say I do prefer this masque to my usual drugstore branded hair treatment.
I would like to thank L'Oreal and Chickadvisor for the opportunity to try the L'Oreal Professional Intense Repair Shampoo and the Intense Repair Masque.I live in a climate in Canada where its been a very cold harsh winter, this is my first winter living here and my hair has really suffered from the elements here.
I have thin blond(color treated)shoulder length hair that is usually dry to normal conditions. The elements however had really damaged my hair and the appearance and texture became like straw and very hard to manage so everyday had become a hat day! I was getting very bad static and flyaway hair.My usual brand of Shampoo and Conditioner were not helping at all.So this review came at the perfect time for me and I'm so pleased it worked for my hair.
I received the Shampoo and repair masque a week ago,I have been using both daily before submitting my review to see the affects of using the two for a week. The hair masque was created it says with regard for dry locks developed with the Cuti Liss System, which will provide nutrition and strengthen dry hair.It is a leave in masque which you would apply after shampooing and rinsing and towel drying your hair.It nourishes and smooth your hair and is also used to treat and control split ends.I didn't find a problem with having to towel fry my hair before applying the masque because I knew that towel drying it then applying the masque on my hair would really get a chance to soak in this rich mask and repair the damage.
The hair masque comes in a small tub container(200 ml)I dont like the smell as much as I liked the smell of the shampoo. The smell is hard to describe I find it to be a very strong artificial floral scent.I wish the scent matched the shampoo which smelled like bananas and a crisp melon. As I mentioned in my shampoo review because this product can only be bought at a salon I probably will not buy it as much as if I seen it in my local Shoppers Drug Mart etc.I dont go to the salon as much as I go shopping.I also think its quite expensive for only 200 ml.However I would consider buying both during the winter months and use it sparingly about once a week. This way it would be affordable for me and I can keep my winter hair healthy.
The container is tub like and has a screw off top.I like this because I can control how much I use and will be able to get every last bit out the container. The texture is wonderful, its very rich and creamy and you can see shiny pearl like pigments throughout the product. This product is like the Dairy Queen blizzard you can tip it upside down and nothing falls out haha! You just need a little bit it spreads easily through out the hair I can feel it coating my hair strands, but it is not greasy at all.It washes out perfectly with no residue.
After my first use of the product my hair felt really super soft and smooth and shiny and it looked great and really helped control the static fly away hair.It also gave my hair bounce and volume I'm loving that! Its also so manageable and easy to comb out no tangles at all.I love that it has not faded my color treated hair as well.I also noticed in the ingredients there is camphor I like that as camphor will stimulate the hair follicles.
After using the Shampoo and hair masque for a week I used my usual Shampoo and conditioner this morning as I want to start using whats left only once a week so this will last for awhile.Well after using my usual shampoo and conditioner the dreaded flyaway hair is backkkk.......So I now know for sure this product controls static flyaway hair 100%.
As I mentioned with the shampoo there are a few cons with the repair masque but the pros have far outweighed the cons for me.
CONS
-I do not like the use of parabens in products.I do hope L'Oreal can find a alternative
-The instructions and ingredients are very hard to read.
The final results are that the shampoo and conditioner have really saved my hair this winter. It really strengthened and has made it healthier in one week and it looks super shiny I'm very happy with the results. Thanks again L'Oreal and Chickadvisor for allowing me to review these products.I'm so glad it was such a success for my hair.
I received this product as a member of the Product Review Club.
My hair is fine, dry, but not really damaged and no longer colour treated/bleached. My hair is also long (to my mid-low back) and I wash it daily. Because I live in a place that's dry year round, but especially in winter, my hair is often in need of a moisture boost.
I find the price of this product to be on the high side. For $30 you get only 200ml of the repair masque, which is really not a lot.
I used the L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque after shampooing with the L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Shampoo, which I also received through the PRC. The masque smelled really nice without being super fruity/floral or too perfumy. I followed the directions on the packaging and towel dried my shampooed hair before applying the masque. I applied the masque starting with the ends of my hair and working my way up to the roots. I used approximately 2 tablespoons of the product in one use. I massaged it into the hair and then piled my hair up into a loose bun on the top of my head and started a timer for 3 minutes.
At the end of the 3 minutes I hopped back into the shower to rinse it out. The first thing I noticed was that as I was rinsing it, it made the floor of the shower extremely slippery! I've never noticed this from conditioner or hair masques before, so it took my by surprise. Be careful of this when you rinse it out! Since the packaging said to "Rinse Carefully" I was sure to rinse it out really well. I made sure it was completely out of my hair and then continued to rinse my hair (just in case) for at least another full minute. When I towel dried my hair again it felt so super smooth and hydrated. It was incredible.
To style my hair I didn't add any leave in products as I normally would. I just blew it dry with a diffuser. My hair felt light and soft and had a nice amount of shine to it. I was surprised to have no frizz or fly-aways. Despite the fact that I usually wash my hair every day, the next day my hair still looked freshly blown dry. I was surprised that a product that moisturizes so well didn't weigh down my fine hair or leave it feeling greasy the next day.
The next time I use this product I will leave it in for a full 30 minutes to get a really intense moisture treatment.
I would recommend this hair masque as a special treatment to use every week or every other week during winter and maybe once a month during the Summer. I probably wouldn't use it every day because I can imagine that with continued frequent use it would weigh my fine hair down, but as a special moisturizing treatment I think it's great!
