    Not impressed.

I wasn't impressed with this product. I used it for over a month, at least once a week. It did nothing for my hair. I have thick, naturally curly hair, also damaged. I would maybe recommend to someone with finer hair. It just didn't work for me.

I got this to try with the accompanying shampoo and although I like the shampoo, I can give the masque a pass. You are supposed to use it on shampooed dry hair then put on, leave on, then rinse off. It would be better if you could put it on right after the shampoo, like you would a conditioner. It's a bit time consuming to use. The smell starts off really nice but as you smell it again it gets fake smelling. It didn't do much for my hair except weigh it down and the price is insane! $30 for what is basically shampoo? No thanks. I wouldn't buy but I appreciated Chick Advisor giving me the chance to try it.

I didn't really like the shampoo or the masque. I found it to be a big pain to towel dry my hair put it in and then rinse it out. I have kids and time is not something I have lots of. I find the cheaper stuff to be more effective and cheaper.

Again, really wanted to like this product but do not at all. I used it both with the shampoo and even on it's own with my regular shampoo and conditioner and got the same results both times. My hair actually seemed more dry/frizzy, less soft and did not look it's usual self. It seemed dull. At one time when I used the masque after my regular shampoo and conditioner. I got out of the shower and combed my hair after and it was SO knotty and tangled. I was really annoyed actually - I have very thick hair. So I leaned over the tub and rinsed my hair with my regular conditioner and combed again and my hair was then totally fine. So that definitely proved to me that this my hair doesn't like this masque. This just seems like a drug store product with a salon product price tag. I also don't like the jar - would be easier in a bottle or even a pump if possible. If anyone ever asked me what I recommend for dry hair, I'd recommend Joico Moisture Recovery way before this stuff. Better quality and is actually more cost efficient. My hair quality improved when I quit the L'Oreal Professional Intense Repair Shampoo and Masque and went back to my regular routine (Joico).

I tried the L'oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque and I have to say I wasn't too impressed with it. Right off the bat I am not a fan of hair treatment products that you have to use outside of the shower. I would rather use the treatment as part of my shower routine not have to get out, dry my hair, apply it and then get back into the shower. Secondly, I felt that the treatment could have used more instructions regarding the masque. Do you need to rewash your hair after? How much of the masque should you put on? How often should you use the masque? After using the masque I don't know if I would use it again, my hair feels slightly greasy and I don't that like it was very effective. Also definitely not worth the price.

Unfortunately I didn’t care for the L’Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque at all. My hair type may have something to do with this. Its two feet long, thin, straight as a pin and tends to get oily on top, but is very dry ever where else. First the masque tells you to shampoo your hair then towel dry it before applying the masque to your hair, then rinse it out after waiting two or three minutes. Having to wash my hair in the shower, get out towel dry it and then bend over the tub to rinse the masque out was something I found hard to do because I have a very bad back and neck. It was also way too much work then I like to do, especially when the results I got weren’t very good at all. If I were in a salon and had someone else doing it for me while I sat in a chair, it would make it much easier on me, but still not worth the cost when I got the results that I did. I even tried just squeezing out as much water as I could while still in the shower, adding the masque and rinsing it out instead of getting out of the shower, but I still ended up with the same type of results. My hair was so full of knots every time I used both the shampoo and the masque that it took me twenty minutes each time to get through my long hair. When it was dry it was fuzzy on the bottom and laid flat on top. It just didn’t look healthy at all, in fact it looked worse then it did before I started using it. So unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend the L’Oreal Professionnel Intense Masque to anyone with the same hair type as mine. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try both products ladies, but it just didn’t work out for me.

My opinion about the masque is the same as the shampoo.

It is just an average hair product for me. It didn't seem to provide any kind of moisture or softness that has been mentioned in other reviews.

I do live in a downtown area of a city, where the water is more chlorinated than those who aren't on a city water system, so I am eager to see if this would make a difference at my parents house, where they have a well, and the water seems purer.

The product does smell great, and rinses out well, it doesn't leave a scumy feeling, although my hair still seemed to have the same texture.

As with the shampoo, I am going to continue using the product to see if prolonged use will get me the results I am after!
