I received this from chickadvisor to try out and when I received this in the mail I was shocked by its size because It was a bit smaller than what I had imagined it to be. It is a bit pricey for such a small amount. For some reason I like my shampoo to have some kind of scent to it and this one is really mild and I can't really smell anything. It did make my hair softer and hydrated. It lathers really well and you don't need a lot of it.
Thanks for the chance to review this chickadvisor!!
When I first took a whiff of this I thought it was too strong, but the smell wasn't as intense when I was using it. I thought it worked really well, and it lathered nicely. Was easy to use with an easily openable cap (no breaking nails :D). Does the job and cleans your hair well.
After washing and towel drying, my hair did feel softer, and only on the first use. I would expect my hair to feel smoother after using a conditioner, but using this shampoo did wonders.
Unlike other repair shampoos, it didn't make my hair greasy or overly dry.
I would definitely recommend this, but I would love it even more if it was available in a bigger size and a more affordable price.
I was looking forward to trying a shampoo that works well on my dry, and damaged hair, so after receiving this product I noticed its scent right away. It's not too strong and smells a bit like banana mixed with coconut. I quite liked it actually.
The texture was nice and thick and lathers just like any other shampoo. My hair's softness would most likely be due to its repair mask that I would use afterwards so I don't think the shampoo itself has anything to do with the how soft my hair became.
I also did not know its price til I checked and completely agree with everyone else that $30 is way too much for a tiny bottle.
It's a good shampoo for dry hair, and if you want to splurge on it then I would definitely recommend this product.
I had the chance to try the L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Shampoo and I found it to be a really good shampoo that left my hair feeling soft and really clean. I noticed the difference as soon as I washed my hair and my hair continues feeling soft and smooth. I have used several repair hair shampoos before I really liked how my hair felt the next day with this one. I do think that it is overpriced for the size of the bottle but if it was a bit more reasonably priced I would consider buying it again and recommending it to other people.
Thank you so much for the chance to try this. But I have to say I wasn't impressed with it. For such a small bottle I can't imagine spending that kind of money. The smell reminded me of a mixture of bananas and coconut, which as a personal preference, not my favourite. The shampoo was quite thick which is nice but I have very thick hair and it was hard to get it washed out. My hair seemed to be free of tangles after using it, but once my hair dried it was unbeliveable. My hair was out of control, it was crazy frizzy and I couldn't seem to control it no matter what I did. I normally use shampoo/conditioner that costs about $4.00/bottle and I will definetly be sticking with my regular shampoo. Thanks again for the chance to try this.
I love L'Oreal products and had been very intrigued by this shampoo. I was thrilled to try it and the first thing I noticed was how thick the shampoo is compared to other brands which often feel like water. Not the case here.
I applied on my hair and used as directed. It was extremely easy to use and rinse off, although because of the thickness, I found myself passing the water a little longer (no problem there). As soon as the shampoo was off, I touched my hair and noticed that it was soft - even while wet.
But, to me, the real test is when my hair finally dries off. I loved the feel of my hair throughout the blow drying time and when I was done, my hair was STILL soft - and had that beauty parlor glow that I keep searching for and can never seem to find with most of the other brands. My hair looked great and flowed (which is the look I was going for).
Add this product to my love for L'Oreal products :) The only downside - I am not sure I could afford to buy this shampoo on an ongoing basis as it is a bit pricey.
Thank you ChickAdvisor and L'Oreal for sending me such a great product! I was pleasantly surprised with the smell of the shampoo. It has a nice, light, fruity smell. You only have to use a little of the product because it lathers and cleans wonderfully. I actually saw this product in the store, and I have to admit, even though it IS a great product, the price is really, really high! I would definitely recommend it to friends, but something really has to be done about the price!
What I liked:
- The packaging. It reminds me of a little milk bottle, and the color is pleasing.
- The smell. It has a summery, coconutty smell that appeals to me. It also has an undertone of...mango...maybe that isn't necessary. The coconut smell lingers on the hair, and it's quite pleasant when you toss your hair around.
- The lather. A small amount goes a long way.
- It works. It does what a shampoo should do.
What I didn't like:
- The price. For such a tiny bottle, I couldn't justify the cost. If it were cheaper, I would buy it occasionally, but it wouldn't be my "holy grail" go-to shampoo.
- It isn't sulfate free, and I really think all beauty products should be these days.
All in all, it's a nice shampoo. It's rich and creamy. I wish it were sulphate free.
P.S. I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
First off, I'd like to thank ChickAdvisor for sending me this product to review!
I really do like this product a lot, but like others, I was in shock when I researched the price. The price is way too steep for such a small bottle, though the quality is amazing.
The texture was really creamy and it applied smoothly. I liked the scent; I can't quite place what exactly it smelled like, but it was awesome! It wasn't overpowering at all. The shampoo lathered well and rinsed out clean. When my hair dried I noticed it was a little smoother than usual, which made my day! Less frizz = a happy Steffikah!
I find that it works better than typical drug store shampoos, and dare I say it's relatively close to salon quality. I would definitely recommend it if I knew the person could afford it. It's really a great product, I just wish the price was a little more affordable.
I received this product to review from the Chick Advisor Review Club.
Upon first seeing the bottle, I was surprised at how small the bottle was for the price. I opened the bottle up and wasn't hit with a strong fragrance like with most shampoos.
The shampoo had a light fragrance that in my opinion smell liked grass. I wasn't particularly fond of it, but it wasn't too bad. I decided to first start out by trying a small amount of the shampoo to see how much would be needed for my long hair. I was surprised that I was able to use a lot less shampoo than other brands. The lather was just right. Not too sudsy. It rinsed out fairly easily. When used without conditioner it left my hair feeling softer and healthier looking without feeling weighed down. I think it is a great shampoo that works well on its own to hydrate dry hair on the days where you are in a hurry or don't feel like using a conditioner. When paired with L'Oreal Professionnel Intense Repair Masque, you get major hydrating results.
Although the price is a little high, I would definitely recommend this shampoo to others.
