I had to quickly find a foundation for school the next day, so I ran to the store and picked up L'oreal True Match. I'd read a few wonderful reveiws about it online,so I decided I should see if it works for me.
It looked amazing when I first put it on, put didn't have to good coverage it just made my acne scars less noticable, but it did have a very natural look to it. When I got to school about an hour and a half later I went into the bathroom and noticed my nose looked a bit patchy, which is big problem I have with foundations. In my third period passing time I checked it again (about 2 hours later) and I noticed my skin was looking pretty shiny, I added some powder and blended it in which helped a lot, but made it look more powdery. After PE (2 hours later) I had to add more powder becuase this foundation dosen't stay on to well with sweat. I got home and looked in the mirror (an hour later) and noticed it did have a slightly powdery look, but mostly looked pretty natural. I had Horseriding a little later and it lasted well though that. Over all I'd say L'oreal True Match matches your skin tone, but I woudn't recommed it for oily skin, or for heavy coverage.
This is a really great quality liquid concealer. For my entire face, i only need to use the amount that covers the inside of the lid when I shake the bottle upside down (I hope that makes sense!). It's not too matte, so you don't look or feel like you're wearing a mask. It does provide good coverage for scars and blemishes though - especially if you use two layers. It blends very easily and feels velvety. However, it tends to wear off a bit afterabout 5 hours. All in all, it is very natural looking and a great price for its value.
I just started using this foundation about a month ago and so far I love how well it works. If I have a really busy day sometimes the foundation gets a little greasy on my skin but it is easily toned down by dabbing with a paper towel. Other than that I love it, it doesn't feel heavy and it blends so well with my natural skin color. I also use the pressed powder that matches my shade.
I wasn't too impressed with this foundation. The fact that it advertises its mineral formula made it sound quite appealing, and the fact that I didn't have a great complexion at the time persuaded me to buy it - I was told that mineral formulas are beneficial for your skin. Almost a minute or two after I bought it, I applied it using my fingers onto the foundation I was already wearing. I found that it was quite grainy and had an unnatural yellow hue against my skin - even on top of a previous foundation base. When I applied it by itself the next day, it didn't improve. My family commented that it didn't suit my natural skin tone - and I'd chosen the one that fit into my skin tone best (I bought Light Ivory, fyi). The range of colours is great, but none of them suited me. Like most L'Oreal products, I found it was quite expensive compared to other brands available in British drugstores, e.g. Rimmel London, Maybelline, Bourjois etc. However it did do a reasonable job of coverage despite the graininess and awkward pigment, so the price is reasonable compared to the Chanel Dewy Smooth foundation which I currently use (5/5 rating for that, it's fantastic - and I bought it while it was cheap in the January sales). The packaging was quite attractive and neat, and I think it contained a lot more foundation than I first imagined. But overall, I don't think I'll be trying this foundation again.
I found that this foundation has a lot of coverage without the heavy feeling. I find it a little hard to find your colour because there's so many to choose from and a lot of them are really similar that's slightly different (a little pinker or a little bit more yellow) but once you find the right colour it's amazing.
It is a good foundation provides good coverage but sometimes it gives a bit patchy look so I mix a bit of moisturiser with it to give an even coverage. Its good compared to many other brands of foundations available but now after trying minerals I am hooked to them!!
in the beginning this worked pretty well but after a few weeks i started breaking out ! ): So i of course stopped using it. also this can not be worn on warm hot day because it tends to go away (melt off ? ) and after some time i noticed that it dried out. overall, i would but recommend this product based on my experience but everyone is different. (:
True Match did not work too well with my skin (i have oily/combo skin) and I would have to reapply it constantly after 3 hours ish. The bottle design is also messy b/c there's no applicator included and like one of the users commented below - the texture was too thick almost like pudding. It also felt cakey after a while and it made my face feel even more oily and gross after a couple hours. Overall, there are much better products out there than this so don't waste your time!
The Dream Mat foundation was terrible for my skin!!! It made my normal skin extremely dry, to the point of looking flakey!!! I would not recommend this for anyone with non-oily skin - i guess someone with really oily skin can use this foundation and balance it out.
However the True Match is a pretty good foundation. It really does match my skintone (which itself is very hard to do!) and goes on pretty smooth. This is a light foundation so not for those who're looking for heavy coverage. Its a good foundation in its price / class range.
I'm rating the Dream Mat foundation ...so for that .. Fugheddaboutit!
