Unfortunately, this did nothing to help my oily problem skin. It smells so strongly of mustard that I gagged when I used it. I had a hard time with it crumbling and dropping down the drain when I used it too, so I'm sure a lot of money was wasted because Lush isn't cheap.
I love this stuff!! Absolute A-MaH-zing!! This is the only thing I'll use for my face now. It's gentle enough for twice a day and it really gets in there to clean it. I just love it! Love it! go get some for yourself right now. Get off your chair and head down to your nearest Lush Store and do it. Go do it. Uyennie Approved!!
Takes a little while to get used to using this product. Some people are put off by the smell but I don't mind it. Works great to prevent breakouts.
I love this cleanser when my skin is more on the oily side in the summer. I only had a sample but I will purchase the full size when it gets hot!
i've tried just about everything for my skin. At 25 i finally found this great product adult acne sucks. It doesn't dry out my skin, it's cleared some of the redness and i rarely have breakouts.
Oh my god! Okay, to start off, I have to say that this isn't really an expensive product but because it's all natural, it doesn't have a very long shelf-life and in the end, it becomes more expensive than buying something that doesn't work as well and is bad for your skin. Next, I will say that this product doesn't smell too nice but it works incredibly well and this is coming from someone with seborrheic dermatitis! It's gentle on the skin yet it cleans thoroughly and doesn't leave your skin feeling tight like a lot of scrubby-textured cleansers. Oh, it also helps with redness. It controls your oils without stripping them off your skin, it's soothing and your skin is sure to feel super soft! :D
This wasn't a bad cleaners but it wasn't the best. I found a lot of the product got wasted because it didn't disolve properly with water, so it would just crumble off my hands or face. Also, when I used a toner right after, I still had make up coming off, so it doesn't get everything off your face. It did make my face soft after using it and a little goes a long way.
This cleanser worked so well for me, and I only switched to something else because there is no Lush near me so I have to order online. I recently made an order though, and am thinking of saving up for another order soon to get this again!
Herbalism is a solid cleanser, so you get to mix it up with a bit of water to make whatever consistency you like. More water makes it much gentler (although it's very gentle already, even with it's exfoliating almond bits).
The colour of this and the scent are interesting - a bright green product, and the scent is mild but still reminded me of different herbs and just a slight bit of the rice vinegar. The description might turn some people off, but it wasn't bad at all, and definitely not strong or long lasting.
My skin gets oily and dry in different spots, and this helped balance it out and take care of blemishes. I like to use Lush's Tea Tree Water with any cleanser of theirs that I buy, and it really worked well with Herbalism to clear my skin and make it healthy.
Overall, I loved this cleanser, because of how gentle yet effective it is (like a lot of Lush products I've tried). For me it didn't remove makeup, so I have to address that with another product when I wash my face with Herbalism, but other than that it is a perfect cleanser!
first of all, lush is my addiction. I love lush more then words can describe. The best part is you can choose how much you want of a product in order to have it fit your budget. However, i used this for about a year and i realized it was making my sensitive skin turn bright red. I already use acne medication so the comination was just to strong for my skin. I switched to the ultra bland and that works great for me. But this is overall a fantastic product.
I am a confirmed lushie. I love everything about Lush and (almost) all its products.
The whole natural, no packaging thing soothes my environmentalist worries while the delicious products feed my need for bath and beauty stuff! *sigh*. It really doesn't get any better than that.
All that is god about lush is present in this product!
I used to use another lush cleanser called "angels on bare skin" which is really lovely as well, but I found I needed something to battle occasional acne.
So, herbalism was recommended to me by the lush staff as it has some abilities in that department.
I've been using it devotedly ever since!
It clears up breakouts, but leaves you moisturized as well. As a dry skinned person with some acne, this is an awesome departure from the norm for me.
This scrub may seem a bit weird to use at first if you're not hip to the whole Lush thing, but its actually very simple. You jut take off a piece of the putty, rub it around on your face and rinse it off.
It does everything you need a cleanser to do, exfoliates, moisturizes, fights breakouts!
Long live lush!!
