New Formula is MUCH Better
I had purchased this in the fall when the product looked like a smooth bar of soap. I found it difficult to use and had to use a TON of product to get any sort of lather. This spring I received a sample of the pressed version of this (it looks chunky rather than smooth) and it is like night and day. The pressed formula lathers wonderfully and is so much easier to use. After I finished my little sample I went back to purchase the full bar.
Good not great
I usually try a sample of a Lush product before I commit to buying it but I took a chance with this one. I regret it, I should have tried a sample, it does not work for my hair. I have really fine hair and this doesn’t lather well into my hair and it gets stuck. I will stick to my previous Lush favs.
Still not 100% about this one..
I am looking at reducing the amount of waste I produce, so I decided to try solid toiletries. I'm still on the fence about this one (I've only been using it for about two weeks), but it gets easier to use every time I use it and I'm starting to warm up to it quite nicely. There really is a learning curve with this bar. As another reviewer stated this is NOT a traditional conditioner, don't expect it to feel slippery or to do any detangling, this is meant to condition over time (so one of the lush staff said on social media and I believe that). I have noticed that since switch to Lush bars I have seen a significant decrease in the amount of hair I lose in the shower. My hair feels just as good as when I use bottled products, so i will probably buy this product again.
Amazing once you get used to it!
I waited a month since purchasing this to review. I purchased it because I am looking to reduce my waste.
My hair is processed, wavy and frizzy.
There was definitely a learning curve. I still don't love this product but I like it a lot.
The smell. I love it - it's like a fruity herbal scent. My hair smells like hippie after lol
It isn't and will never be a slippery, detangling conditioner. After I shampoo I usually turn my head upside down and run the bar down my strands then I work some into my hands and try and run my fingers through my hair as much as I can. I wrap my hair into a bun on top of my head, leave in a a few minutes before rinsing.
While my hair is wet it feels tangled and not nice but once it's dry it brushes easily and my hair is super soft.
I usually only need to wash my hair every 3 days or so.
I will definitely buy this again and am glad I stuck it out. At first I hated it. I still miss the slippery feeling of regular conditioner but this makes my hair look great and I can't complain about reducing my plastic waste.
The smell is the best part
I am trying to go zero-waste with my shower/daily routine so I decided to try solid shampoo and conditioner from LUSH. I have long, wavy hair so this product was recommended to me because it is moisturizing for curls. I love the smell. I have used this a few times and my natural curl has really come out from it. The smell really lasts a few days after washing and my hair doesnt feel greasy at all. I feel like it would be better for shorter hair, but I am making it work on my extra long hair.
Best solid conditioner on the market
Lush jungle conditioner bar has changed my hair! It has the best scent and leaves my hair feeling soft and not heavy. It lasts me at least three months. The solid consistency is amazing for travel.
Smells great and looks very cool. Doesn't come off the bar onto your hair so it takes forever to rub it it. Smell last for a couple hours in your hair but doesn't help with moisture or volume.
