I like the automatic soap dispenser concept as it means less germs and mess things being spread around. I've actually purchased 2 of the lysol soap dispensers (one for my kitchen, and one for my bathroom) and they do their job effectively and efficiently. As other members have pointed out it is a touch sensitive, and can go off for no apparent reason some times. This isn't a huge problem and only happens on a very infrequent basis. Also the fact you have to use proprietary soap containers is a touch annoying. It means I can't simply buy a big container of hand soap and have it tucked away. Instead I have to buy individual soap inserts made by lysol.
good to have it when we have small kids at home but the amount of the soap it dispense is too much, we need to replace the soap very often in our house which is a bit too expensive.
I like the no hands dispenser as it makes cleanup easier, but hate the number of times i need to replace the batteries.
I like the hands-free soap dispenser format and have been using a nicer/stainless steel version for years in the kitchen. It's great to reduce the spread of germs and bacteria.
This one is OK. I like the no-touch/hands-free format, but this is a cheap plastic dispenser and looks cheap. It's not very attractive to display. There are often free coupons/high value coupons available so you can try it out at low cost. But, I don't like that the refills are proprietary, so you can't use a soap refill of your choice. Instead, you have to buy the refill cartridges. This generates extra waste and cost. To be honest, I would recommend buying a higher end steel version from another brand that allows you to refill with your choice of soap.
I really like not having to touch the soap container, although they do seem to be pretty sensitive ( sometimes they squirt soap when you're not around). All in all, I like it a lot.
My only issue with them is sometimes the sensors seem to be too sensitive. It'll spit out soap from something passing by in front of it that's not even all that close to it. Ahh well, I still love it!!
I received 2 of these for free and I love them! the soap refills are abit pricy but there is a way to pop the lid of the soap container and refill it with any kind of hand soap that you please
I have had a couple of these no touch systems and overall I am impressed. But sometimes they do not work. You put in a new soap refill and it does not work. I have tried replacing the batteries and even taking it apart and letting it dry out as it can get water inside. But this one refused to work. I used it in the bathroom and as soon as I left the room I could hear the soap spilling out into the sink. Very strange I know but that's how it worked. Eventually I had to stop using it. I do love the convenience when your hands are dirty and you need soap fast!
Good concept but the soap despensed is not always enough, sometime have to do it twice. It can be very sensitive and therefore wasteful. The refilled are too expensive so I made a hole at the top of the bottle and I bought a huge jug of soap and refill it myself. Works great. Otherwise it is convenient.
I love the concept esp. in the kitchen when handling food. It gives you a measured dose each time. The problem is the sensor because it is very sensitive. It can be wasteful if you're hand doesn't catch the soap in time. There is a shut off button just in case. The refills are pricey but worth it if it is on sale. Worth a try.
