The eye shadow went on really smoothly and didn't crease for the whole day, however, although I like the shadow, I'm not happy with the expense.

I may be an odd ball here but I really don't like MAC shadows. I own several but they seem so dry and the payoff just is average. I own some REALLY cheap SHANY shadows that make these look poorly made. For me, for the quality I think that they are WAY over priced.

I find it very difficult to review this as a whole... Like with many other eyeshadows you can have hits or misses. Each eyeshadow can vary in quality, pigmentation, lasting power etc, I find.
Overall I would have to rate them as average, as they are quite pricey, somewhere in between drugstore and super high end. As far as quality, again, each shadow deserves its own review. I have some that are truly extraordinary, and some that are easily dupable in drugstore brands. All I can say, research each shadow before and go to the store to touch and see them.

I love mac, but latley i'm starting to notice it doesn't pack the same bang for your buck. now with places like sephora i can get an eyeshawdow which stays longer, is about the same price, and normally in way cooler packaging. just saying. nothing persoanl against mac

I actually spent the outrageous amount for this eyeshadow just a couple of weeks ago. I felt so guilty leaving with the product because I could not believe I didn't say NO, forget it, I will not take it for that price. I'm sorry, it's just not worth it. Fine, it's good quality, but for the amount of times I personally use eyeshadow, it's just not worth it to me. I'm sure I could find a comparable brand in the drugstore for at least half the price, if not less than that. it's a pass for me.

while i'll agree that MAC has the greatest selection of eyeshadow colors, and the way it appears on the eyes is just as seen inside of the bottles (i'm specifically talking about mac's loose eyeshadow btw), they do have some faults to work on. I realize several times after applying their loose shadow that eventually throughout the day the color begins to fade very harshly (and this is with a concealer base to help it stick onto the lids in the first place! plus this doesn't occur EVERY time, but depending on the amount of hours that i'm wearing it, it eventually fades inevitably, and i've been applying different amounts to see if it's too little or too much to make it react this way..). i'm particularly disappointed in this, as many other eyeshadows seem more durable but are yet much less vivid than mac's. So while mac has the most beautiful and fantasic selection of eyeshadows to choose from, there's usually a chance that it might fade more quickly than willing, and you could be stranded with shitty make-up for the rest of the day at either school or work, etc...
