I love MAC's eyeshadows (in singles, though). The variety of shades is amazing, the application is smooth and the colors long lasting. The singles do not ever crumble when you carry them around, the same cannot be said for the combos. Twice I had combos made and both times they broke and ended up at the bottom of the make-up case. No fun.

MAC cosmetics is definitely a girl's best friend. With a wide range of eyeshadows and lipsticks, you might feel a little overwhelmed when you're in the store for the first time! The make up artists are there to help you with your needs; whether you're looking for the perfect foundation tone or your favourite red lipstick. I've been a MAC addict for as long as I can remember. The eyeshadows are my favourite..they glide on to the lids so well and I love the different textures they carry (matte, lustre, velvet). Its highly pigmented, so a little really goes a long way. If you're planning on investing on cosmetics, you should definitely consider MAC because of its quality! The pigment bottles can last you a lifetime (or more!), so you will hardly ever run out unless you use it everyday. The lipglosses are vibrant and definitely has a lust-factor.

The only downside to MAC is its price, but if you compare its quality and other high end products, its definitely worth it. I have...lets say..many..MAC products, so I can definitely vouch for them based on my experience!!

I've just gotten into mac cosmetics and so far I've been stocking up on some eyeshadows. There is a wide variety of colors to choose from and they're well pigmented. The price was totally out of the range that I go for but when I first tried the product, I'd say that it's well worth the price. The colors are vibrant. The pigment blends well and goes on smooth. A little bit goes a long way so you don't really have to swipe your brush on it to pick up a lot of pigment.

I love mac eyeshadow. It's amazing. It applies bright and vibrant, lasts a long time, blends very well and there are plenty of shades to choose from! You can use it wet to make the colour even more vibrant. My favourite shades are: club, beauty marked and carbon.

I absolutely LOVE Mac eye shadows. Nothing matches them in quality and range of colours. If applied with their shade sticks, the eye shadows also turn a different shade, 2 looks with one colour! I love how I can wear a faint dusting for a soft day-time look, and apply a heavier dose at night for something more exotic and flirty. It means having to carry less make-up when traveling!

MAC eyeshadows are amazing. Everytime I walk into the store I practically drool over the gorgeousness of all the colours! I love their limited edition "Cranberry" - so iridescent and red, I want to eat it! I also have their "carbon" - which is the PERFECT black - really pigmented, no shine of any kind, completely matte, excellent for doing smokey eyes. I have "electra," which is a silvery-grey, gorgeous ice queen colour. I've got "uppidity" in their Fluidline collection (it's actually an eyeliner, comes in a little glass pot, is supposedly a gel, and gives really intense colour that does NOT come off easily at all. I was inspired to buy it by the huge ad of a redhead girl (I'm a redhead, too) with this yellow-gold eyeliner and top and bottom, and asked what she was wearing.

Top Reasons to Buy MAC Eyeshadows:

1) They're VERY highly pigmented, which means they deliver a lot of oomph colour-wise, without putting on a lot.
2) They have a colour range that you won't find in cheaper brands, and the colours are so gorgeous you'll want to eat them.
3) They don't smudge or run - my friend once bought a really cheap blue eyeshadow that actually RAN down her face - I didn't know eyeshadows could be made that badly! But back to the point - yes, their shadows don't fade much at all throughout the day, and stay where you put them.
4) The service in a MAC store is far beyond what you'd get in a drugstore - they'll tell you what shades would look good on you, tell you how to apply them, what they'd go with, etc.
5) They cost $16 or so, but they last SO LONG. I've had my "carbon" forever, and wear it so often.
6) You get a free eyeshadow or lipstick or something else if you bring back 5 empty makeup cases or whatever - huzzah!

Stays on! Doesn't smudge like others do..I tried on Stila and that smudged like crazy. Lasts really long, well it still look fulls even though i use it alot. Pretty colors. Some are a bit light, wish they were darker, but I didnt try before I bought so thats okay. Worth the money, smooth application better than drugstore brands.

while i'll agree that MAC has the greatest selection of eyeshadow colors, and the way it appears on the eyes is just as seen inside of the bottles (i'm specifically talking about mac's loose eyeshadow btw), they do have some faults to work on. I realize several times after applying their loose shadow that eventually throughout the day the color begins to fade very harshly (and this is with a concealer base to help it stick onto the lids in the first place! plus this doesn't occur EVERY time, but depending on the amount of hours that i'm wearing it, it eventually fades inevitably, and i've been applying different amounts to see if it's too little or too much to make it react this way..). i'm particularly disappointed in this, as many other eyeshadows seem more durable but are yet much less vivid than mac's. So while mac has the most beautiful and fantasic selection of eyeshadows to choose from, there's usually a chance that it might fade more quickly than willing, and you could be stranded with shitty make-up for the rest of the day at either school or work, etc...

This is by far the best eye shadow out there! It goes on so smooth and blends amazingly. It's definately worth the price.

I'll just add to all the MAC shadow love that's going on here. I concur about buying the quad instead of individuals. I used these shadows for the first time on my wedding day and I was really happy with the results. The sales clerk helped me choose my 4 colors, which might have been impossible for me because the selection is overwhelming--in a good way! Most colors take a light hand because they can be pretty intense. They glide on so smoothly and have great staying power.
