I have wanted a Paint Pot for so long, but the shade I wanted was always sold out... Painterly. I finally got it, and it is everything I'd hoped for. It is the perfect base for eyeshadow and I can use it without a primer and still go all day and not have any creasing.

Painterly is a matte nude skin tone colour and it works double duty to even out skin tone and be a base for shadow. Of course now I need more colours! I defiantly recommend this product, the price might seem high, but you need so little that it will last you for ages. For application, I like to use a little concealer brush to apply it then blend it out with my finger a bit.

MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study is a beautiful champagne color. Its really pretty and shimmery! It can be used as a base or as an eyeshadow! I use it both way and i love it! I think it is a little pricy but on the other hand i love it so much that i think its worth the price! It looks great and can be used many ways! It look beautiful on all eyes and if you haven't try it you must definitely consider getting it and trying it on :)

This is another product I had been wanting to buy for a long time but couldn't justify the price. Well, once again, I bit the bullet and put my thinking head in my bag while in the MAC storefront. Can't say I'm glad I did.

Does it work well under eye shadows? Yes. Absolutely. However, for the price and the fact that it dries out far too fast, it isn't worth even a quarter of what I paid for it. When products I bought over a year ago are still fresh in their container and this one is like an old prune after a few months, there isn't much else to say.

Would I buy again? Hell no. Didn't even put a dent in the jar before it shriveled up.

I use it everyday on my lids either alone or under my eye shadows. It makes all my eye shadows last all day. Its not too thin or heavy. Even tho its a little pricier it will last forever. Just rub a little on your finger tip and apply. Better than any other bases I've tried. Will buy it again if i ever run out. lol

i love this product because it can be use as an eyeshadow primer or you can use it by itself as an eyeshadow. very easy to blend, but have to be very careful storing it because it dried up very fast if you leave the jar open or not closing it tight enough.

    Oh. Mah. Gawsh.

If you have creasy, oily, irritable lids that just refuse to hold onto eyeshadow and you've tried UDPP, TFSI, Benefit, etc...well! I'll tell ya! This stuff is your answer! I had actually come to the conclusion that I was just destined for creasy, fading, simply craptacular shadow after 2-4 hrs had passed from application. Not anymore!

Some primers left my eyelides itchy, flaky, irritated or just simply didn'tn work on me...then I started reading make up blogs. What an eye opener! What a learning experience! What a fledgling product junkie was born!

I find that this is best applied with fingers as it warms up the product, thins it out and allows it to spread easier. It's important to spread it thinly...otherwise this will crease on you too if you have oily lids. I have found this to be easy for blending shadows on top...or even just using it as it is for a bare, neutral look. This lil jar has been used pretty much every day for 2 months and I've barely made a dent in it...so it will last a looooooong time. I tell everyone about it, even when they don't ask or care (so I exaggerate, but you'll understand if you had as many problems as me with your eye makeup LOL)! I'm a raving lunatic about how awesome this is and whole heartedly, 100%, undeniably, enthusiastically endorse this product! go! get it! now! what are you waiting for?! NOW! LOL

    Hope this helps :)

I only have one, rubenesque. It was $16.50. It is awesome!! It works as a base, similar to Urban Decay Primer Potion. It primes lids so that any color going on after it will stay on an the color will be true and it won't crease.

This little pot comes with a lot because you don't need a lot. You can apply it with a cream shadow brush, but I've found it is easier to use your fingers.

It is the prettiest color ever, I have never seen anything like it! It is like peachy pink with gold undertones.

    I definitely recommend it.

I love paint pots. Painterly is my favorite. They make the most amazing bases. I put them on under my eyeshadow and my eyeshadow doesn't budge. It's amazing. There is so much product in the jar and it will last you a really long time. One of my favorite products ever.

This is my go-to base. I use it basically everyday unless i'm going of a different color look or a super dark look. I apply it on my eyelids with my finger. It helps warm up the product a little bit and spread really easily. You need very little of this in order to create a base. This is more of a matte base and creates a nice canvas, especially for matte shadows. I find that the color of my eyeshadow is intensified. It lasts me all day and doesn't crease on my. On the tiny downside, i find that sometimes it breaks my eyelid out a little. I'm talking about a tiny whitehead once in a long while - so it doesn't bug me. Overall, this is a definitely must for me!

I absolutely love MAC paint pots, but in particular Painterly. It is the base that I use almost daily when applying eye shadow. Before I used this, I had tried countless products that just never did the trick. I have fair skin and I've always had a harder time, getting eye shadows to show up true to color. This works amazing as a base, it provides a blank canas for my eye lids and also, since it is about the same color as my skin, it covers up any darkness or veins on my eyelids. There are times however, that it can crease on you. But usually I don't have that problem, but at times I use urban decay primer potion underneath, which can help. I do that especially during the winter when my eye lids get a little drier. The paint pot goes on smooth and really brings out the true color of eyeshadows. It is also easy to blend eye shadows when using this as a base. It is a product that I absolutely recommend and one that I have re-purchased time and time again and will continue to. If you are having issues getting your eye shadows to show up, I would suggest looking into the paint pots. There are some other alternatives, depending on your skin tone.
