I have used Mac Pigment Eye Shadows and they work very well. The colors are nice to work with and blend very well. Also, the eye shadow stays longer without creasing on your eyelids.
Very easy to blend and lasts all day! I wish it wasn't so expensive though but you are paying for good quality.
Gives you the bling bling you are looking for. It is easy to apply, longlasting and very effective. Comes in different colours too.
These pigments (and BareMinerals) are my all time favorites. They're a little pricey, but I find that the insane amount of product you get (enough to last, like, forever) justifies that. They're really "pigmented," as the name would suggest and they blend nicely. You can use these either wet or dry, which is nice, too. The colors are gorgeous and the quality is fab.
Upside: Lasts all day, looks great (I use the vanilla), it is very light and blends perfectly with other colours and eyeshadows. There is enough in the bottle to last a very long time which makes the price acceptable.
Downside: can be messy in application. but a good brush can correct this.
I have a number of MAC pigments and I mainly like the shimmer/glitter ones like 3D gold. I know a lot of people complain about fall out and yes, there will be some fallout when you apply this as an eyeshadow.....but it does help if you foil it (wet your brush a bit before dipping it into the pigment so there's less fall out). The main advantage as some have pointed out is that with the pigments you can be more versatile than MAC's pressed shadows (you can add some to lipgloss or nail polish for instance).
Not a fan!
I normally love MAC products, but this one's not for me. I purchased this because I absolutely loved the colours that were available, and also the size of the container. I figured it would last forever. I had a huge problem with it falling all over my face, and leaving my cheeks all full of shimmer. It was really inconvienient having to clean up your face afterwards, and I couldn't seem to get the hang of using it. But, I did love the look on my eyes - It provided nice colour, with a good amount of shimmer. I'm sure it'd be great for someone who knew make up!
For a MAC eyeshadow that costs more than their pressed ones, it is not worth it.
First of all, the amount you get makes it sure that you won't run out of it in your lifetime unless you either a) are a makeup artist and have clients or b) split it with friends.
I'd go with option b so that everyone pitches in a little bit and gets a decent amount of product that is not a blow to anyones wallet.
Also like other reviewers have mentioned, it is SO dusty! You really need to watch how you open it/tilt it or you are going to use A LOT of product. Ergo, it is not an easy feat to travel with it.
Overall, not worth it. The pressed shadows are so much better! Not to mention no fallout with those!
