soft-focus shimmer

MAC's Amber Lights single shadow was one of my first MAC purchases and it's a very soft-focus wash of golden shimmer for the eyelid that's not too full on, not too bright or light catching.

Just the right amount of pearl for every day definition. The intensity of Amber Lights can be built up for a more defined, more smoky look for evening.

So Adaptable

This was one of the products from the Summer Vibes Kit from MAC only available at Boots. I am very wary of wearing eye shadows – the drop off getting into my eyes as they can irritate my eyes. I was also worried hat as a woman of a certain age shimmery eye shadows on hooded eyes might not work. I was wrong. It can be swiped over as a single colour, or you can build the intensity of the colour to create a smoky eye. It can also be used in the centre of the upper eye lid to provide highlight when used with matte shadows. It can be applied using fingers or brushes depending on what finish and look you are wanting to create.
