For reference I wear the shade NW35.

I got a sample of this at my local MAC counter about a year ago and I was in the process of searching for the perfect foundation for the summer months.

This foundation does have a "satin finish" meaning that it is not entirely matte, but more of a dewy finish.

The formula is amazing and can be thinned out using a wet Beauty Blender or a stippling brush (I personally use the stippling brush to get an even, medium coverage).

The one thing that I LOVE about this foundation is it's versatility. As I have recently stated, it can be thinned out or built up to get the coverage that you most desire (Face it, sometimes us gals need a little more coverage every now and then. Naughty, naughty skin!)

Also, it is very moisturizing which can be beneficial to those experiencing dryer skin, but it STILL can be used for those of us like me who have combination skin.

I would not advise this foundation for those who have oily skin. It might exacerbate this.


This is a keeper, for sure. Just make sure you use a primer underneath so that it stays on all day (especially in the summer)

Use this foundation every day! Absolutely love it. Gives a flawless finish but doesn't look cakey. Also easy to find a match to my skin tone whether it is summer or winter.

This has always been my favorite foundation. It is a full coverage foundation and will last all day when set with a MAC powder. It goes on very easily (I use a large foundation brush for application) and is not sticky or slimy. I also find it blends into the skin quite well, so there are no noticeable lines or spots due to dry skin or skin creases. My only issue with this product is the smell, which can easily be overlooked. This product works so well for me that I don't even want to try any other foundations.

One of my favorite foundations. I used to like the MUFE HD but I like the finish of this one more for an everyday look. Long lasting great coverage and the NC works great for my skin tone.

Foundation... I spend too much buying new ones to try, and its like I'm a junkie. It really is my quest to find ones that work for me. I want coverage (medium), natural looking, comfort of wear, oil-resistance (does it change colours or show shine easily), and it must have a good sunblock, non-comedeogenic and oil-free. Well this purchase was very unlike me... a flash purchase due to an over-charming make-up artist. However, it was serendipity: I love it. A little goes a long way, it blends beautifully, its SPF 15, has a colour that is great with my skin tone (NW25), oil-free, minimizes the look of imperfections with a medium coverage. with long wear. Its easy to apply but a bit thicker than I am used to. the only think I'd change is if if came in a pump. I have hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, and this helps to minimize the darker areas and I don't feel overly made up. So far it does not make me break out. Loves it.

MAC says Studio fix I say STUPENDOUS fix!

This really is a great stable foundation for anyone who wants coverage, sun protection at an affordable price.
I being the lucky owner of problematic skin have a great deal of spots areound my face aswell as blemishes that needs coverage in order for my skin to look perfect. I bought this after hearing so many people raving about the coverage it gave them, and I must say I wasn't dissappointed myself.

It glides on the skin so smoothly and creates a nice semi matte finish, while covering the red blemishes and disguises the scars. But even though its covers really well I stil have to use my trusted MAC studio finish concealer in the corresponding shade NC35.

I myself don't really have problem with the scent, but I know this could create unwanted trouble for people who are sensitive to fragrances. It carries a chemical scent which lingers on the skin for a good 2 minutes after application, but goes away after that. I also find that the spf in the foundation sadly does not react very well with flash photography SOMETIMES, because even though it leaves me looking like a ghost in some pictures, it also has a tendency to make me look flawless and not casper-ish at all sometimes!

I am assuming this is the page to review MAC Fix fluid lol I was a little confused. Anyway I love MAC Fix . I use it after I put on all my makeup and it helps everything stay in place. I mostly bought it because I read that it helps to keep makeup from caking. The price is great and the product is really a dream. This has a permanent place in my makeup arsenal.

First let me point out that I do not feel it is necessarily something you need, however for girls or boys with dry skin, it is VERY helpful.

Why?

If you spray it on your face before makeup, spray it on your brush to apply foundation, and after, it will help out with dry skin. Spraying it on your brush helps with evenly putting it on your face and helps it not cake. It also has a very nice smell and lasts for many months. One thing to point out is that is takes a little practice on how to spray it on your face. It also has many uses. I use it on my hair, my face, for shadows, and for extra hydration throughout the day.

I highly recommend you purchase this if you were thinking about it!

The price is good for the quantity and the quality that you get. Personally, the coverage is really good but this foundation makes me break out...

The price is average for a high end brand. It goes on smooth, lightweight but good coverage. Doesn't look or feel cakey (I use the mac stipple brush to apply mine). Lasts all day ... what else could you ask for?

Obviously you should moisturize, and it goes on better with a primer, but doesn't look bad at all without.
