Just like a mojito...

I purchased an assorted pack of macaroons from Winners for around $15 at Christmas. These treats are made in Italy and gluten-free! Each macaroon is made up of 2 delicate meringue shells which are held together by a thick cream in the middle. These cookies are elegant and a very nice treat. The macaroon shell is soft and cripsy with a nice crunchy as you bite into them. The exterior of the shell is crunchy but when you take a bit it melts in your mouth. The cream is smooth and not overly sweet. There is a sweet lime flavour in the shell which is strong & delicious. The cream inside is thick-- tastes like white chocolate with natural hint of lime. Chewy and soft shell. Cute vibrant green shell to match the flavour.
