Love this nutty flavor!

I purchased an assorted pack of macaroons from Winners/Home Sense around Christmas. I am so glad I did because they are delicious!! These are Gluten-free and made in Italy. Each macaroon is 70 calories. A macaroon has 2 crunchy soft shells which have a nice soft texture when you take a bite. There is a thick cream sandwiched inside the shells. The cream is smooth and adds a nice sweetness. Macaroons are generally sweet. I love the texture contrast because you get this nice crunch when you take a bite and then the macaroon dissolves in youth mouth. The cream also adds a nice texture on your tongue because it is so silky smooth and buttery. This particular macaroon has a cute green colour to match the flavour. Almond extract taste comes subtly behind the pistachio flavour; marzipan taste. Tastes like an Italian dessert-- like Italian Pistachio gelato. Cream has pistachio taste.
