Macaroon Cuorenero: Daiquiri

These are made in Italy and can be purchased from HomeSense. There are two delicate meringue shells; elegant cookies which are held together by a sweet cream/custard in the middle. When you bite into a macaroon, you get the nice crunchy texture from the shell but the softness from the cream. The inside of the shell is soft and light. This flavor has a prominent berry taste- raspberry or strawberry-- mild not sweet. Milder in taste than some of the others, like mojito. Thick cream tastes mild-- has mild hint of berry but not overly strong or sweet.
