i do like the finish this product gives to the skin. a little goes a very long way though, because too much will leave a white cast. it's not very long wearing, so i don't recommend it for daily use. for a short (3-5 hour) event where you know you'll be taking pictures, this would be nice, especially paired with the hd foundation (awesome!).
    pros:
    - very finely milled
    - smooth/soft
    - packaging is surprisingly easy to work with
    cons:
    - can leave a white cast
    - not too long wearing

    hope this helped x

Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder is my absolute favorite setting powder!
It's COMPLETELY translucent unlike most powders that claim to be translucent and it makes my skin feel as smooth as silk!
It keeps my skin from looking oily while giving it a radiant glow.
    Such an amazing product!

    Amazing setting powder!

It may seem pricey for such a small jar, but you only need to use a tiny amount and it lasts for forever! This makes my skin feel perfect and so smooth! And it helps foundation stay on for a loong time without moving or sweating off. A must have in my books and definitely give this a shot

At $17 for a 5g jar that hardly takes any product out a time, I had much higher hopes for this setting powder. This was an absolutely awful product for me. In about two hours, I have to blot and reapply product, so it does next to nothing for my combination oily-skin. And as far as looking great in pictures? Absolutely not! I got the feared ghost face in all of pictures and I made sure to use the tiniest amount of product! This bad boy is definitely going back to Sephora.

Great at absorbing oil and getting rid of shine for a beautiful matte finish. Very lightweight, but extremely white so too much will noticeably lighten the appearance of your skin.

Cons: the loose powder is messy and flies all over the place every single time the lid is opened. it creates a powder smoke that is unpleasant to breathe in.
Can make dry skin much more obvious.

Another favourite! Even though the powder is white, it will blend in with any skintone. It makes my skin feel really soft and the powder is virtually unnoticeable.
You have to be really careful about not being too hasty when applying the powder. Because the powder is so fine, it will go everywhere and make a mess.
Application with a brush is the best method because a puff just gathers too much powder.
With the powder, my face stays matte throughout the day and I only need to reapply once.
I bought it at Sephora with in the little travel set so the amount of powder is only 5 grams.
If you want to try it but don't want to buy the full-size, buy the travel set as it comes with the powder, primer and elixir for about $36 CAD.

I love this powder. It was recomended to me through a sephora consultant and wasn't too sure about it considering it was white. I'm pale as it is and i didn't need anything to amplify that lol It sets my foundation wonderfully and lasts a longtime. No need to reapply mid day and i have fairly oily skin. Keeps everything in its place.

Applies easily with a powder brush(not included). I found the easiest way is to tap some into the lid and use the brush to lightly sweep across the face. It gives a soft look rather than a powdery, overdone look which is nice. I have porceline skin and it matches and my fried had a very dark tan and she can use it too

Works well with all skin tones and lasts a very long time. Its a little pricey but considering the wonders it has done for my face i recomend it to all my friends

This powder does absolute wonders at setting your foundation. I naturally have a semi-oily complextion that can cause my foundation to wear off but this powder sets it & I don't have to worry about a thing- LOVE THIS PRODUCT HANDS DOWN.

So long story short, my Hyperreal foundation from Mac was discontinued and I have since been on the hunt for replacement makeup. I went to Mac 3 times to try and find a substitute but to no avail. I tried their mineralize makeup and it actually reacted with my face and burned. I tried their Strobe cream mixed in with their Select Finish and I looked like I had jaundice and was sick. Not good. Anyway, I then proceeded to Sephora (blessfully they opened one in Vancouver in the last year) and let the makeup artists have a go at my face. The best results were achieved with Make Up Forever's High Definition foundation combined with this product, Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Loose Powder. This is a very very finely milled powder and very little product goes a long way....which is good because I purchases just the small travel size for $17. I find that this product gives me a nice finish on top of my foundation and I am very impressed with this product. Sad that this Mac loyal chickie has now had to convert to another brand 15 years later but Mac's shades look BAD on my skin now with their current offerings. Ah well!

I bought the travels size in Sephora for 15$. I have had it for months and I still have more then half left and I use it everyday. So thats how I would buy it. As far as quality this product is amazing, really buffs in make up and makes it look natural. Gives a breat smooth finish and makes your make up last all day. def worth it.
