MAKE UP FOR EVER SMOKY EXTRAVAGANT MASCARA;

My sister extremely likes this mascara, but for myself not so much....
I do trust the make up for ever brand , however this mascara is quite pricy for not being as great in comparison to other mascaras on the market.

I found it does not last too long, it also clumps up easily.
I did not find it as promising as others

I received this as part of last year's Sephora Birthday set. The brush on this is kind of a large, cone-shaped brush and I really didn't like it. Not my favorite!

I'm not sure if I got a bad batch but the formula on this made it hard to avoid clumps.
The applicator was really large which I didn't really like; it made it awkward to apply.
My lashes are long but it didn't seem to give them much help with looking more full.

It is a very good mascara, made my lashes very dramatic looking. I love it! But for a student working only part time like me, this product is a little to expensive for me to buy it every time I run out of mascara. Even though it is probably in my top 3 must-have mascara product, the price is heart breaking makes it heart breaking since I have to put it back on the shelf :(

Even though the formula wasn’t quite as clump-free as I would have liked, the actual effects were quite dramatic. What I have actually been doing is doing one coat in Smoky Extravagance and the second in Smoky Lash which gives me more of what I want in a mascara as Extravagance doesn’t provide me with the fullness I would prefer. I think this is a great mascara for someone who already has plenty of lashes, but just needs a bit of a “power boost”. If you have lashes like mine, you might have to resort to using two mascaras to achieve fullness and volume.

I always expect that paying for me will get be a better makeup product but that isn't the case for this mascara. I received a sample of this and while it does a good job of being an everyday mascara it doesn't do anything beyond what your regular drugstore mascara will do. Disappointed.

I received this in just a sample size from Sephora with my Beauty Insider card.The formula is decent, not too watery or goopy. It was pretty good at thickening lashes but only after about 3 coats. It's more of a lengthening mascara I found and I prefer thickening. It offered pretty good definition. However, I didn't really think that it was anything more than L'Oreal (I use Extra Volume Collagen). So for like $25 it just doesn't seem worth it for something an $8 mascara can do just as well - if not better. For that reason, I do not recommend.

This mascara is supposed to do 3 things: volumize, lengthen, and darken. I'm a drugstore mascara kinda girl, so for $24 it better deliver.

The truth is, it volumizes and darkens well, but falls short with the lengthening. Plus, it doesn't hold a lash curl. For someone who has short-ish lashes, I need my mascara to hold a curl so you can actually see my lashes. But this one fails to do so.

It is very similar to my beloved L'Oreal Voluminous actually, and I put both to the test side by side. You can't even tell which one is which. If you want a volumizing mascara, go try Voluminous instead. But if you want volume and length and curling, this isn't what you're looking for.
